Yes mate, the nature of the beast with AIM shares, especially those with tiny free floats as in here, can see crazy ups and reverse. We all saw what happened over at DAN today, 750% up in one day, anything is possible on aim, it's all about momentum, sentiment and potential with aim shares, NBR included in that long list. All the best with your also mate, hope it goes well for you. All about project news here now or any form of update and this will wake up like a sleeping giant. Funny how day traders swing in and out, this board is dead quiet, probably best time to quietly accumulate more here for my portfolio. ATB tim.
being walked down on tiny sells. Some volume needed here and its off we go again in anticipation of new project news. imo
Thanks mate for clarifying that, the timing of this conversion is what baffles me still. Project news on the cards here finally? Lets see.
the question i am trying to ask is that if that article is correct then the conversion could have been at any price as this would not affect the takeover and mergers rule 9, as per my below post, so if that is correct then Brian Moritz decided to choose 4.75p as a conversion price to his interest free loan to NBR? have i got this right? TIM or anyone care to elaborate, massive vote of confidence if true?
I noticed one thing chaps, from the feb 2014 RNS here the takeover and mergers code rule seems to apply to loans made to Lord Sheppard and Mr Carlton as per the RNS. "The loans made to the Company by Lord Sheppard and Mr Carlton, which are interest free, will not be repaid, and will be converted to ordinary shares as soon as possible without giving rise to a breach of Rule 9 of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers." This means that Brian Moritz the NED chairman of NBR actually converted 4,383,158 shares of the company’s stock on @ 4.75p, not sure if that is right but would appreciate some comments on this. I am missing something here as i see Brian Moritz also converted his interest free loan to shares at 4.75p. Its been a long day so excuse me if this is not correct but the following article seems to confirm similar. http://www.dakotafinancialnews.com/namibian-resources-plc-insider-brian-moritz-acquires-4383158-shares-nbr/80120/ Could anyone care to elaborate on this? Thank you
Interesting, had a dabble here earlier.
Hi Tim, I was referring to friday, from when I checked at close of play from what I remember it was approx 2mln + buys to 1m approx sells. Unless I am mistaken and got it the wrong way round, also 5p + is pure rumour mate, but I'm seeing it pop up on advfn now also, also here but posts were removed. I want to see some evidence to this hence why I question this as I am invested here so would like to know as you can appreciate. The only similarity I was highlighting re hnr is that they also are looking for a new project as our NBR and the movement there could be seen here also, just an opinion. All the best over there mate.
good for TIM, well done :-) looks like the party is over at HNR, market cap here for NBR which is in a pretty similar situation albeit a tiny market cap in comparison, re both companies expecting project news iNBR is at a 870k gbp market cap but , goes to show how fast things change on Aim (for HNR main market), tiny free float makes it tougher to get in also at both. ATB
noticed that buys outnumbered sells on friday trading session. NBR is certainly not for the fainthearted, remembered last week when this just shot up to 1.75p on the offer, it moves very quick either way. Tiny free float must have a big factor in this indeed, only 87 million shares in total with approx 55% of those owned by the directors here.
Would like to see some evidence behind these rumors but just saw this posted over on ADVFN. Make of it what you want, this is the third time i have seen 5p+ quoted on here, strange indeed. "Been hearing rumours from a few people now that NBR are about to release news on a project which could take the share price beyond 5p + soon, anyone else been hearing these, one of my sources i heard from has been reliable in the past but wanted to hear other peoples opinions on this as i am considering loading up here as reading through the past RNS feeds it looks like there could be something behind this rumour given the small market cap NBR has. Any thoughts either side appreciated, thanks." Why is this being repeated constantly from multiple posters now, i want to see a source, if this is true we could be in for a ride here.
we are very long overdue some news, this was the last update we got way back in November 2014. Here is a snippet Hinkais from that RNS (you can read the full one - i just focussed on the projects section as per our convo) "Future prospects Work on bringing new projects in to the Company is now accelerating, and I believe that the Company is now well placed to move forward. The initial intention was to bring in coal projects, but the market perception of coal projects in Southern Africa has mitigated against this. The directors are evaluating a small copper project in Northern Cape Province, South Africa, which could bring early positive cash flow as well as providing a stepping stone to other copper projects in that area. Also currently under consideration are a kimberlite diamond mine in South Africa and an onshore oil and gas project in West Africa. Either of these would require the publication of a new admission document, and it must be stressed that discussions remain at an early stage." Now if work on bringIng new projects was accelerating in November 2014 surely all holders are due some form of update now as to what projects are being considered by the BOD? if the NPV of these projects is 5 million + then its going to be crazy here as people try and get in and with limited shares available also. However then we need to consider financing, another piece to the jigsaw but one step at a time and could be considerable upside from here if we get that project RNS update...just my opinion mate.
Hinkais you mentioned that the loan will be external and at a lot higher price here, can you elaborate further the connection with Michael Solomon as i don't quite get where you are coming from. I know that the directors have lent substantial amounts to NBR as interest free loans in the past, are you saying that we could see something similar here, also where are you getting this info from, rumour or what source. You also seem very confident about the directors choosing the South Africa project here, any ideas as to when we can expect some news regarding this?
good things....my english is terrible today as per usual haha. typos galore.
TIM lets see, god things come to those that wait, look over at places like AMC, been waiting for many years for a licence and seems as if they are closer....aim is crazy, could this be NBR year to shine, well time will tell us.
also look into the profile of our NED here Brian Moritz he is a big personality and is connected worldwide with a wealth of experience and contact base that could open up some serious doors for NBR, the bod own over 50% of the company here, approx 55% approx. imo
they do have a wealth of experience in diamonds mate, and mining as a whole, Michael Solomon is solid chap and very well connected and if he replicated the success he had with Wesizwe Platinum Limited then this will be and could be one of the best investments we have made in a long time, there will be some dillution but mate i expect, albeit i agree wth you at a lot higher price than we are as this will be biggies not pocket change, however a spike could indeed happen with some tasty news on the project prior to it so i feel more comfty in now here and happy to take it on the chin, rewards here could be great, interesting times ahead. Lets see imo.
or maybe a mix of the two as per the rns, could get outside financing and an institutional offering, at what price will be interesting, at present i feel the bod will release something tasty for us to look into re project values and then comes the placing hopefully at a lot higher price than where we stand today, all my opinion but, only the bod know really the in and outs of the economic value these projects they are looking at will have, either way we are due an update as last time i heard was November last year, its been quite some time, lets hope for some news here soon mate.
That could be a god strategy TIM, however did you consider the possibility that the BOD release an RNS stating the ecomomic value (NPV, cash flow forecasts of the project) and then it re rates accordingly followed by a placing or that the directors continue to put their money where their mouth is as they have been doing and raise the cash also themselves from there own large wealth. Many possibilities here, i would imagine that share holder value for them especially owning over 50% of the company would certainly be top of the xmas gift list? In april we had a small fund raise at 1.25p for like something around 125k if i remember correctly off the top of my head, a lot to look forward to here, its all about seeking alpha before alpha comes here, high risk high reward, and coupled with the tiny free float, this will move very very quickly imo either way. as we have seen both up and down, IMO
how do you know that, or just your opinion mate, that would be nice indeed. So you think the directors will stump up the cash on similar terms and offer an interest free loan? One scenario? Maybe?
'interesting investment' please elaborate why you consider NBR an interesting investment, i nearly choked reading that part, would be interesting to here your positive thoughts here and let bygones be bygones, i'm sure you and I have better things to do with our time.
