The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
Holy moly, one million shares, I dread to think what your average price is!!
I hope you're using good investment discipline in no more than around 5% of portfolio in any one stock.....
Good luck to you, I fear you may need it
Where have all the rampers gone?
How much has he made in salary during his tenure woth the company?
And how much shareholder value has been destroyed over that time?
Where have the company stated the sell is clear?
Or did you just make it up?
Looking at the trades they are mainly small retail, being egged on by bullish statements made by people posting rumour not facts.
Please direct me to where it says the seller has cleared.
You are making an investment recommendation for investors to buy teh stock.
Are you a certified investment professional?
You are required by law to be before you can make such an investment recommendation, as per the FCA.
David Burton covers any companies that pay his company, TMS, to promote them, it is promotion dressed up as research.
Look at their website, VAST, Bluejay, ECR Minerals etc!
What a bunch! Would you invest in any of those companies?
And if so, why?
If any company that I had a shareholding in contracted TMS to promote themselves I would sell that stock immediately.
Maid,,
Yes it's totally legal, it's called extended settlement.
They won't ban shorting because thet run IPO's through "forward selling", which is naked shorting to you and me.
I don't agree with it, but wothout it small companies would struggle to run placings.
OI'm only concerend because he is trying to convince people it was two buys when it clearly wasn't.
It was simply a rollowver trade, meaning someone has stock on a T20 for example, and wants to continue the trade by starting a new one.
It's in the price now, it wan't a "spoof", simply someone opting to continue a trade without putting in the funds to pay for it.
BYW I think gold is up because of political tenions in Ukraine where the Russians are making a big push and it looks as though the Ukrainians are being pushed back. Nobody is calling for peace, so NATO escalation could be on the cards,a nd that would push gold much higher IMO.
Why do you persist in pretending a rollover trade was two buys?
Ring your broker and they will explain to you how it worls and why it is a rollover.
You are misrepresenting the trade.
Well if you think they were two buys you clearly don't understand how rollovers work.
I suggest you ring your broker and ask them, they'll explain it to you.
To continue trying to cliam a rollover as two buys is just making you look silly I'm afraid.
You might be convincing yourdelf, but everyone else can see it for what it was, a rollover Beethoven.....
Why do you continue to state a rollowver was two buys?
If you keep saying it you might make yourself feel better but it doesn't change the facts.
How would you propose to remove him?
He can probably count on enough votes to remain in charge, and has the use of the PR network if required.
TW addressed this years ago and "concluded" that AB remaining in charge was the best outcome if memory serves me correctly.
Not sure what those posts have to do with the rollover trade the thread is about?
It was a rollover!
If you have ever done one you would know it was.
No matter how hard you try and convince, it was a rollover, simples....
Interesting theory but the closeness of the two transaction indicates a rollover.
THe interesting thing is that would make is a sell rollowver, a bit brave at this price level where any sudden "good news" could take the price up quickly.
It would depend upon where the trade was entered of course!
Sorry that should have said
"If you rely on Zak Mir for your research, I wish you the best of British".
You do realise Zak is a paid PR man don't you?
It's a sell rollover.
13-May-24 13:13:40 0.048 27,000,000 Buy* 0.045 0.05 12.96k O
13-May-24 13:13:17 0.05 27,000,000 Buy* 0.045 0.05 13.50k
Note the closeness of the times and the second price is lower than the first.
if it was a second buyer the price would not have fallen, it would have increased.
Well if you reply on Zak Mir for your "research", I wish you the best of British, because you're going to need it!
Please tell me you don't !!!
Helpful,
Yes can you please answer that key question, for the benefit of all?
Thanks in advance
So back to where they were, this time in the south of the country.
Market reaction on cool, I guess people want a signed deal before they get excited again this time.
Ffool me once, shame on you, fool me twice? Type of scenario
The market cap is way too high for a shell, so who can blame them?
