No, I think it’s also not a DRC port. That’s because the way PF phrased it I got the impression that it wasn’t more likely due to a relationship. More the fact that they had more legitimacy with an additional contract on board. You know how human nature is, people want something more if they know other people do too.

I think he’d have been more categorical about the link if it were DRC. So my guess is that it’s Africa, but not SL or DRC….which would be great, as the more country diversification the better.

Mike: nice find. My gut would be that it’s not the “close” MSC. PF said he thought the DRC signing would make the other one more likely. We’re already in SL so I don’t think DRC would have any impact.

But by all accounts WSG has done a great job in SL over the years at Lungi, so I’d be shocked if we weren’t in the mix for any further contracts in the country.

Misty: someone took down 670k on Monday (500 and 170) so surely this 500 would have gone then?

Misty: nearly all the trades today are buys. Just look at the prices. Not sure why the price hasn’t moved. Maybe there’s a decent sized seller out there. It’s always a bit of a mystery to me.

Still feels like a great buying opportunity to me. We should be getting decent revenue in from DRC (either already or soon) and the director purchases give me belief that there are no major delays.

Ian: I don’t think the importance of this can be overstated. Not only does it mean that we don’t have DRC government exposure, but it should help to reduce the chances of corruption and being held hostage.

I also think that a change of government isn’t the end of the world (when it comes, we’ve only just had elections). Any government will need flights to keep the eco only going and so will need security.

There’s no two ways about it, Africa is much riskier to do business than Europe. But that’s why the margins are so much higher. And why a small company like WSG can land such a large contract.

Well that’s fine by me, as previously mentioned I’ve got to wait for next week for my “final” top up funds to arrive.

Were people expecting an RNS today confirming the start of operations (by my calcs it’s 90 days today) and thinking they could trade off it? Is that why there was lots of buying yesterday and selling off this am?? Or just the MMs playing games?

I saw the 90 days as being more for us than them. To allow us to get the personnel and equipment in place and sort logistics before we were expected to actually do anything. .

Either way, the director buys would indicate that there aren’t undisclosed issues with the contract. So a day or even week here or there and who cares??

Happy for it to remain undervalued for a bit longer as hoping to make my final “last ever” top up next week….i think im approaching triple figures for last evers. :-)
