Many thanks to you Gotrader for all your research and encouragement over the last five years! I don't know what happened to my adversary Dyehard! But I can now smugly sit back and enjoy my profits of over �100,000 I deserve my reward after standing up to all his negativity!!

Finally I decided to take profits. Not an easy decision! Was a bit disappointed that even though the sell price was 94.60p I only got 91.40p..........but still, I've more than doubled my money and the profit is safe. I guess the share will now go beyond �1 AND pay a juicy dividend! But i have become increasingly concerned about overall market conditions.....I've had a good run. I could not bear to see 40% wiped off my profits with a market crash after I have so patiently waited for this company to turn around. I'm now sitting tight on a huge pile of cash........may get some physical gold and silver.

A lot of directors bought at just over 20p in large quantities back in the summer of 2017. If they don't know something....no one does! Perhaps they thought the shares were going to halve to 10p!

I can understand the anxiety of some of the contributors on this site, because looking at your contributions in their entirety you all seem to be exclusively focused on the oil sector which is currently out of fashion ..and all of you are nursing heavy losses. Thats not a nice feeling. If some of you got in at 92p they are probably not worth selling.......so just put them in a draw and forget this site........take another look in five years time.......you might get a nice surprise!

So I would recommend you all SELL! It has since dripped 15% from my buying price......so not a good sign, Also there is the possibility of a general market crash within the next 12 months. SELL!! Now will you accept my advice? But I'm staying put.

I have no more knowledge than any other share investor. We all know they have they rights to an enormous amount of pre-discovered oil. I remember when the shares cost more before any of it had been discovered. So the current price is just a current fashion. Obviously, if the price of oil increases and Premier find the funds to develop the Rockhopper fields...... the shares till rocket. No one can tell you when that will be. The fundamental questions I have asked are: where will the price of oil be in five years time? Can the company remain solvent over the next five years? Nothing is certain.......but I believe ROCKHOPPER and PMO's time will come!!

Someone thinks this is a valuable company! Some large trades going through the last few trading days.

As I have continuously have said.......PATIENCE is required with this share. All the fundamentals are here. It is as good a punt as any share I have ever invested in. However, there is the risk that oil will remain depressed forever and this firm will go bust before someone developes it. If YOU ARE NOT PREPARED FOR THAT POSSIBLE SCENARIO then I suggest one stops winging and SELL out. It is OBVIOUS this is a share that will NOT reward the "quick buck" brigade. But I would be EXTREMELY surprised if this share did not reward those prepared to wait five years!

Thanks for the useful updates and positive views. Yes this share seems to be really strong.....especially when the general market moves into negative territory....HNT stays steady or even rises....all very positive. I do have the jitters about world markets generally and the effect of a falling dollar might have on future profits. Just wondering how much upside there is in world markets....I've done extremely well on this share........maybe its a little greedy to hold on till it pays the dividend.......in these markets it seems a long wait to May 24th.

With Divs I am certain you will make a profit. My only fear is, will the market hold up till divi day and a few weeks beyond? There are so many prophets of doom around. But there again they say " a rising market climbs a wall of worry".......so maybe we might have a few more months. And as CNA is a defensive share......it may well rise when all the others are falling. I'm not quite prepared to buy another 30,000 though.

I think there is a real possibility that CNA is going to blow to �1.60 I am really tempted to double my holding.......but feel a bit uneasy about the markets.......they seem to be treading water. However......it is unheard of for there to be a crash in the month of April.....so hopefully the markets may go a touch higher! Fingers crossed!!

For a share that seems to have consistently high expectations from brokers, I am at a loss to explain why the company directors do not seem to have bought any shares for years! It hardly inspires confidence does it?

Any more thoughts on this share? Is it worth holding during April / May do you think? Dividend XD 24th May 2018.

I agree we should not be talking politics......but most of us on this site are here to make money....and we ain't gonna make much if you know who gets in!

I completely agree that this share's low price does seem ominous. And in the light of Carillion it is a bit scary. But I got a good feeling from the last video of the Director's report. They seemed to be confident, honest, able and straight forward. My only concern is where energy prices are going in this fast moving world! I suspect that it is going to take a long time before we can wee ourselves off oil and gas, despite the new technologies in the pipe line. However, if oil and gas were to fall to ridiculous levels then that would be detrimental.

Weren't the going to flog their power station assets for �2 billion? Is there any chance of this happening ....as to pay off debt would be transformative for the company.

I am completely and utterly unshakable in my opinion about this share!!! It has great potential.......but only a fool would invest more than he could afford to lose on this share right now. There are so many factors beyond the share itself that will determine the outcome. I have bought 50,000 at 25p......if I lose I lose.....I will not go on whining about it!!! I have risked what I personally could afford to lose....BUT I am fairly certain that in the not too distant future, my �12,500 investment will become �25,000........and could become �50,000 once the oil market starts to warm up.....as it surely will. I've seen it all before. The mugs are the one's who buy this share thinking they will get rich quick. My advice is that if you are man enough to take a risk on this share.....buy some and put them in a draw and forget about them! A watched kettle never boils!!

There are risks to this share....what is surprising about that? There is also enormous potential and expectations that this share will come up trumps are much better than most penny shares!

It's quite tempting to believe them. I had a thought the other day triggered by the fall of CNA shares and their persistently low price. At the moment energy shares are being kept down. The trend is down....and prices will remain depressed until world politics change. It occurred to me that it may be something to do with screwing the Iranians and the Russians. How long it will last I cannot tell......but for sure, it will not last forever. I still think we have a long wait before things turn around....maybe a slight upturn until the divi is paid.

Thanks JD, your reply was sound and comprehensive. I do agree that history never repeats its self exactly and one does indeed need to be flexible. You are probably aware of the Schwartz Stock market handbook, which I have regarded as an indispensable tool over the years. I miss David's contributions to the FT very much indeed, as he was obviously up with events and recent trends since he first published that book. Unfortunately he died recently and wise gurus who are trust worthy are not easy to find. A lot of what he published i his book is still relevant and has helped to guide me with investment decisions. As you rightly said, the Japanese market has still not reach its former peak of 39,000. I am quite twitchy about stock market levels....and am currently sitting on very good profits. Maybe I am greedy in wanting to get my dividends before taking some capital profits.....I'm just hoping that this market can hold up till May 25th
