Gordon Stein, CFO of CleanTech Lithium, explains why CTL acquired the 23 Laguna Verde licenses. Watch the video here.
In fairness, if he did, then he's just brushing off annoying pi's with a fact we already know. We know they are now building the system and it will be tested/delivered in a few weeks.
The big news is the results from this trial. How are the operating costs compared to current technology?
To quote Adam Bond again "We’re not necessarily afraid to put our balance sheet at risk on some of these things. We know there’s a big opportunity. We’re talking 1-2 months of demonstration. We’re not looking at this being a 12-month exercise"
Likewise, never saw myself buying at these prices again! From an earlier comment, I think it would be Run AFC Vs master B(ond). Science can be cool, keep you (lab) coat on. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j50ZssEojtM
The idea of selling before seeing 1.How EE goes 2.How Acciona like the generator 3.Seeing what ABB and AFC come up with, is blasphemous to me! As BB said, you never know what left field news may pop up, but these projects are just around the corner.
The EV market is just reaching the tipping point, so cars are now achieving the range and price consumers are now becoming comfortable with. There is no doubt that the single biggest issue with the EV roll out is the charging infrastructure. I believe the first EV charger sales will come from the ABB partnership and I don't think we'll have to wait too long.
Turning to greener options in the building trade is a long, expensive and complex plan. Although companies are now coming under pressure, it may be years before we see widespread change, but it has to to start somewhere. I can't see anyone better to test the generator replacement than Acciona. I see no reasons why they would not adopt this very quickly (if all goes well), and working with them could lead to many many other opportunities.
We can't control the market, or what crazy stuff may happen. If you'd offered me £1 a share 12 months ago, I'd have given you the lot, now I'd give you none (obviously metaphorical as I could buy more back tomorrow morning cheaper, but you get my point!).
Very true Beach. I don't believe we need every interview mentioning AFC now, the time will come when they have the limelight. In fact, I believe we need someone like Jenson, a "petrol head" missing the sound of the engine, many average people make the same argument. When he drives it, he'll no doubt say "actually, this thing was amazing", and he may even be amazed by the charging process when he sees' it himself.
The fact that they are charging the vehicles using this technology is an integral part of the series.
The numbers in China are always mind boggling, 600 million daily active users! I have to respect their intentions too, "In the meantime, we will create more scenarios and forms to help users participate in and feel the charm of sports." I guess the director hasn't added Leeds Vs Millwall to his large selection yet...
Hello Der Sack! I was wondering, is this a famous German investor? I've heard people speak of a German investor who tips stocks, there are many Germans in NEL, and I've heard Norwegians say they are always scared if this particular guy says sell, it will have a big impact on SP?
Great to read the posts on companies changing their plans, people buying in to AFC and the general positive vibes going around, the sp recovery helps!
Not to blow my own or anyone else's trumpet, but I remember writing a year or 2 back that companies would be forced to change their ways, especially the bigger companies. 2020 has held the world back a bit, but it is as if a spring has been coiled and has now been released, things are really changing. I think we can agree, it would have been pointless for AB and Co to be posting constantly about EE or Acciona etc during the last few months, now is the best time to get real and it appears they are. 2021 was already looking to be transformational for AFC, but I believe it looks better and better each day for the whole industry.
On EE, I think I've underestimated the value of the publicity this brings. Despite some differing opinions on the sport, the AFC charger sitting in a stunning location filmed in 4K with a drone will look fantastic! I have no doubt there will be sections dedicated to talking about the technology. Some things need to be seen to be believed, and I believe there will be fence sitters who see this self contained EV charger, in the middle of nowhere, charging these vehicles, not only will they say ok it is possible, but it is also incredible.
Enough jibbering from me, very excited for the coming months. All the best!
Excellent for ABB to get a presence in Oman. For those tha don't know, Oman have big plans for a renewable future and hydrogen, this would be a great place for some AFC ABB chargers.

My banks' trading platform does not allow me to put a limit in over 20% of the current price. Well, it doesn't stop me, it just says they have the final decision on whether or not the order will be placed, shows you the kind of games they can play!
When I started trading, I thought I would follow the advice of the "experts", if the majority of the brokers put out a buy recommendation I would follow their advice. I lost a lot of money to start with! Now I don't trust anyone but myself, as ultimately it is my decision anyway.
I imagine some wishy washy regulations will be announced after this current mess, and everything will be forgotten and carry on as usual again. One thing we have seen demonstrated, is we do have strength in numbers, and I think this is particularly relevant with the current shift in global power consumption and the move towards a greener future. There are always those with more money or power, or we may think the government make all the calls, but ultimately it is us that can make the changes happen that we want.
I'll put a £5 sell order expiring 31/12/2021 in for fun anyway :)
Hi Haggis, unsure if already mentioned, though ABB have also won a contract in Korea for zero emission ferries: https://new.abb.com/news/detail/73612/abb-to-power-south-koreas-first-domestic-zero-emissions-ferry
I'll also be following closely on their work with supply vessels for fish farms and other industries. I know some of these are also including charging infrastructure as part of the package when changing to electric boats.
Just watched that with a sneaky VPN, was pretty heavy going for a Sunday evening. Well timed aggressive posts from Adam Bond! You can't really watch that and have any counter argument for the points made, was pretty shocking stuff.
Shared via LinkedIn with some nice text from Adam.

Hi Jhonboy, made a toast to you now with a whisky and some music :)
I'm very confident, though I'm not getting carried away or caught up with so or mcap etc. I want to let them do what they need to do, deliver to Acciona and Julich, make sure that all works well. I have no doubt they are receiving plenty of enquiries, as AB said, many enquiries for peoples homes. They need to focus on what they have now, pick the correct companies for the path forward, get the assembly line up and running along with manufacturing from the UAE. Once all this is in place after summer ish, I think then we have a better idea of the way forward.
Of course more partnerships are good, but I believe the first order is critical. If ABB design the product with AFC and have potential customers, AFC must be able to deliver, the same can be said for Acciona. Of course if Roman A decides he wants to live off grid in Israel for £100 million they should probably help him out :)
Wow, now I feel stupid! I've never opened that tab on the AFC page! Well anyway, I just think all these bits and pieces tie in so well with the ABB project range. The fact that they are focusing on the ev market first shows that is where most demand lies.
I know they've not been directly mentioned yet (I don't think?), but I can't help keep from thinking about this opportunity. This market is growing fast, I think something like 20 billion usd next year and 30 billion 2023. When you mention names like Siemens in the Haggis list, and ABB too, they all have links to the data centre market. Large amounts of power required, and I'd imagine more being built "out of the way" so to speak. I'm just thinking out loud :)
Everything is crazy right now, and not to be a doom-monger, but I think we may have to sit tight for a bit while the markets decide what they are doing. Unfortunately the US still have a hold over much of the world's market actions, and I don't have a positive outlook for things there. People are expecting an economic boom there after covid, but if you look at the figures in all categories it looks like the great depression. The number of people without a job is still higher than the peak of the 2008 financial crisis, although Amazon and the rest thrive, the economy in the US is made up of 45% small busineses, many of which are now closed and won't be reopening. Add to that the handouts the government are giving and the trillions and trillions of dollars they are adding to the national debt, it all seems a bit dangerous.
Nevertheless, I'm not concerned for the future when it comes to AFC and other green tech, though I myself am being a bit more conservative about price action in the near future. When money does start to flow again, we will see more come to the green sector again. Plus we have much to look forward to with AFC in the coming weeks/months, and I guess their work load may have increased somewhat after the recent press coverage!
Thanks Bristol Dan, if you are actually from Bristol, I studied there and it is one of my favourite places, if I ever moved to the UK, it would be the West Country.
Unfortunately I had no free funds to top up today. We may see some turmoil in the markets in the weeks ahead, but I believe AFC will become more and more appealing to investors, and should see them weather further storms. Today is really a momentous day for AFC, especially looking back on the last 10 years.
Hi mode, well done for holding. Once you've established yourself as a holder and believe in the credentials, you get used to these days, almost enjoy them in a twisted way! It's all part of the market cycle, and eventually you'll realise that kicking yourself for not selling at the peak and buying back lower is completely pointless, it takes experience to pull it off well.
Sit back and enjoy the ride, take out some profit if you get the opportunity and are happy with progress, never be unhappy with any profit. You're lucky to invest in AFC at the absolute best time. One of the best things about these forums is for days like today, you can come on and have a read, maybe ask a question, vent some frustration (we've seen that enough!), and maybe it will help prevent you from making a rash decision. All the best
