Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
When you put it like that, madpunter, and with the evidence from your car's thermometer obviously beyond reproach, I think I'll ignore NASA, the royal meteorological society, the IPCC, every major educational institution and the world's scientists and just conclude everything is absolutely fine, and anthropological carbon dioxide emissions aren't having a significant and unsustainable impact on Earth's climate. Phew, that's easier than fixing the problem π
Every journalist has a bias, so no one should read a single news source. There are lots of weather stations though, and ones placed next to each other tend to agree. That's called consensus, sluggy π
You're famously good at sticking to solg, so we will see how long it lasts before you're posting demonstrable nonsense on a new topic you don't understand π€£
Kat embarrassed himself posting similar nonsense to you poppet. Claimed temperatures measured at weather stations weren't true π€·ββοΈ As if they were part of some kind of conspiracy π€£. Absolute madness, but that's what you conspiracy theorists enjoy. Meanwhile, in the real world...
I'd be careful of getting into numbers, slug. Remember you couldn't find a number in the 40s a few days ago, and then had to run to teacher to spare your blushes when I did... People in glass houses shouldn't be morons.
Add, solg are not going to build a mine at cascabel, and they never were. Our drilling rigs are too narrow bore. It would take forever. I guess some of the local workers could have a go with their own tools, but it seems more likely they'd get actual mine builders to build it π€¦
Which behavioral scientists' work have you read around the problem of climate deniers, add? I'm going to guess the square root of absolutely no one... Am I close? Don't be jealous that I've used my time to read the work of the best minds: just do the same if you want to join the debate? Or post support for telegraph contributors who write things at odds with the scientific consensus... But that doesn't reflect my intellect. I think you can understand that? Do you understand that?
Manutd: the BBC forecast and report air temperatures. There article I linked is very clear about that. Discussion over π
Add: I am sure the hack writing their opinion and getting paid to please telegraph readers will appreciate your support π€·ββοΈ? But the simplistic arguments outlined in your summary just aren't supported by behavioural science research. Again, I can't do the reading for you, but that's what scientific research is forπ
Kat: i don't care where you are? You can make up stories of false temperature readings from anywhere you like, sweetheart π Data from weather monitoring stations is available for everyone to read, and it has largely been in line with forecasting and definitely reflected in reporting. It's just not something you can make up theories about!
Have a lovely week ahead, everyone. Remember : keep reading! Perhaps some solg information to discuss, or more SP drift as the timeline here sinks in and the rampers' "TO imminent" fairy tale dries up on the vine? Who knows.
Oh, I am sorry, Kat

Common misconception, jezzoo, but that isn't what the behaviour science says. It's often used as a get out of jail card by the nut jobs, but research says it's akin to saying we should be nice to people who sexually harass women to encourage them to stop. It doesn't work. Nudge works in this case, as in most cases, but 'carrot' just allows the deniers room to spread their incorrect and damaging message. And now you know π
So feel empowered to call it out, and don't worry about slugs feelings. Either he is rational enough to read around it, in which case he will change his mind and drop the act, or he isn't rational and therefore deserves a lot worse than a bit of name calling!
Covgas
Pleasingly, the 'hole in the ozone layer' (basic term for human accelerated depletion of high atmospheric ozone) has started to repair. Concerted scientific opinion was allowed to enter public consciousness. Solutions were found and peer reviewed. CFCs were banned and almost every country stopped their widespread use. And hey presto - improvement!
If only the tin hat wearing deniers and big oil-backed lobbyists would get out of the way, we could accelerate the implementation of strategies to limit climate change.
Don't be a luddite, and don't be taken in by fridge GB news types. Do some reading, get an education and become part of the solution. Defeatists never solved anything.
Haha! Sluggy ran to teacher! What a surprise.
Comedy.

If this is aimed at me anon (weirdly you didn't name anyone, just sent your thoughts into the either?) then rest assured I completely believed in solg when I invested, believed in them up to the PFS, and will believe in them again once the out this current poor management to pasture. No reason to sell up- at the moment solg is the only way to invest in the Alpala deposit. If that changes, I'll switch my investment in a timely fashion. Until then, it's cheap owing to chronic poor decision making π
Does that mean it will sell soon? Absolutely not. But believing in a company doesn't mean crossing your fingers and hoping, pretty please, for a charitable bid. Long way to go here - top up when you feel you can, if you understand the risks and timeline properly, I'd say.
I realise ramper fort won't answer, as he doesn't appreciate scrutiny, but I think it's quite telling how far from their original positions each rampers has been forced to move. With each month that passes (predictably) without a bid, they have to cover their tracks, pretending they didn't say what they did. Others would find it embarrassing and slink off, but they are all as spineless as novice, so on we go, listening to their chuff.
In other news, Franco CFO said today that they are gathering options for 4 projects in LatAm. We know what two of them are. Who knows on the other two. Any thoughts, or do people not read around solg?
Fort, about 9 months ago you were asked why anyone would buy the company without exploitation licence in place. Because your ramping at the time was all about an imminent sale (it still is, embarrassingly!) you claimed unequivocally that they weren't needed. Funny how these brainless rampers change their tune so readily.
Rampers gonna ramp.
Cute that the trolls have learnt to try and create family back stories. Sharing misinformation about oil reserves and using these as a false flag for the invasion of a sovereign state was, by no coincidence whatsoever, one of the examples the documentary creators chose. So I ask again, why wouldn't the troll posting as Kat be a bit smarter about it? Why wouldn't they start steady, get some folk onside and then go for the big lies? Seems just too blatant, but maybe they are a blunt tool designed to win over other blunt tools (hey slug π Worked out that 47 is higher than 36 yet?!)
Lot of stuff on the radio recently about Russian troll farms. Kat fits the bill perfectly, but you'd think these farms would do more to disguise the origin of their propaganda. Clearly not! Gets into every area of the internet, not just BBs. Apparently they are even leaving Amazon reviews that are pro-Putin!
