An Aerial View...6 Mar 2019 11:43
Like most here I am an investor not a coal miner, and have learned what little I do know by being involved, and possibly more important is that I have been 'interested in the process' for the last 7 or 8 years (including Kibo for a year less). My views are mostly based on what I know or understand the situation to be, not on what I suppose. Unfortunately that is pretty flawed so we have to make 'hopefully' informed assumptions when discussing things. We are fortunate imo to have a comparison just 70k down the road, and although not identical they are very similar in many ways.
I agree with a great deal of what is said about Rufus and the bod, especially the communications issue. We know how qualified Rufus is, what 'I' don't know is how unqualified he is?. If it was just Edenville in this position my views might be different, but our only comparison find themselves in virtually the identical position as a direct consequence of the MEM/TGov and as of yesterday Kibo are pursuing a new route in Tanzania with the local supply and export of power.
As a pi I don't know who would do a better job, or where to find someone qualified to take the company forward in this seemingly negative environment. In actual fact I'm not sure anyone could, given the aforementioned.
I think it fair to say because of the bod's foresight we are a Coal Miner, as we could be sitting here with nothing more than a failed Coal Power Project. This is not what I invested in, and guess it's the same for all lth's, but it is what it is.
Knowing the mentality that we are dealing with, I genuinely don't believe that we have heard the last of the Tender Process/RCPP. We know from yesterday's post from Bionic that the current failure to supply electricity to the Sumbawanga region is being talked about locally, so hopefully nationally!!
Timelines have changed, our investment has changed, goalposts have been moved etc etc. So until someone offers a better solution to our current position I will continue to base my views on what I know, BUT if ever that was to happen (finding a 'suitable' replacement) I would be at the front of the queue with my support.
We are all responsible for our own investment, and personally don't see the point in whining. Surely serious concerns are better written in detail and sent to the appropriate bodies.
We all have an opinion, and I believe mine are always honest right or wrong.
