DC,
"When I spoke to NP about the GWA drills apart from asking why they changed the order of drills. I also asked about the gauges and whilst I cannot remember his exact words he did indicate that it may take some time for read across to register. Bear in mind that LC and WW are quite some distance apart so the absence of comment in the RNS should not be regarded in any way as negative."
Yes.
I don't have much knowledge of the exact kit Hurricane has in place, but if the gauges in Lincoln aren't 'direct telemetry' and they're not watching the data, I'll eat my hardhat. It's one thing I find rather impressive about the company, and rare for a little independent. Everything they do and use appears to be state-of-the-art, despite the cost.
I've got this real gut-feeling that some sort of read-across between LC and WW has been seen. Caused by what, I don't know. But it's a good explanation for the 'leaks' implying a 'big find'.
Heck, now I think about it more (though it might be an utterly mad thought), it might not be anything to do with WW, but maybe the extreme underbalance exerted on WD during that DST which failed to flow 'commercially'.
It takes a long while for ripples to spread across a pond, especially if they're just small ripples. But those gauges are hyper-sensistive. Think back to results from Lanc 7, and the way the techies were so delighted that even during DST they could pick up pressure changes due to the tides?
Nah. Now I come to think of it, the less I think that the WW RNS will mention the Warwick / Lincoln 'connection'. Better to leave it for the CMD.
But everything points in that direction.
However, before I get accused of appearing too 'rampy', believing in GWA being one big field doesn't necessarily carry over to the 'Lanfax connection' hypothesis. Simply because of geographical distance on Lanfax, and that part of the Rona Ridge is of different morphology to GWA.
