Firmly embedded within me, evidenced, I hope, in my everyday behaviour and interations with others, when required, when deserved, or when 'humility' might serve my own purposes.

There are some frequent posters on here who constantly rabbit on about 'risk', why we should invest in alternative energies and so on, why we shouldn't fall in love with a perticular share, should 'diversify our portfolio', and so on.

But the moment a little PI like adoubleuk comes up posting that he thinks we may have a problem, everyone comes down on him like a ton of bricks.

But that's the nature of stockmarket BB's, isn't it? I wonder where the 'not out of this over the weekend' mob have set their stop-losses.

One thing's for sure. Contrary to an announcement made by HM Admiralty, the FPSO Aoka Mizu is NOT 'installed' on the Lancaster field location, she's at anchor in the Cromarty Firth. Note: 'at anchor'.

Yes, that was a nice idea, keeping everyone feeling comfortable. But it just doesn't fit with everything we've been told before, nor the things we've seen (at a very long distance with limited means, admittedly).

I'm keeping my fingers crossed, of course, because as a PI I've got a lot of money tied up in this whole project (in the form of shares, whose worth of course fluctuate day-to-day), but I'm hoping to hell the buoy is still OK.

But equally, I know the wells are, so is the reservoir!

Yes. And if anyone wants to go through my own previous posts here (where's Ricfle when we need him?), I too was saying the same thing: it's a 'get it right first time' critical operation.

Over the last 60 hours' 'circus', someone here posited that maybe 'latch / unlatch' was a sort of technical test, which admittedly made some sense. But the more I think about it, the less it does. It'd be rather like jumping out of an aeroplane to 'test your parachute' and then expecting to be able to somehow get back into the plane again.

Curiously, I got an sms yesterday evening from someone who watches this BB, and knows about such technical stuff. I won't name my source, but someone I trust. However, once in the casino, having a beer before signing in for the poker game, I telephoned him back, which turned into a half-hour conversation.

There's no way of getting away from it, guys and gals. It's a case of 'Houston, we've got a problem'. (And having figured that, they got so involved with it, they almost had an even bigger one!)

Let's hope they can sort it back at Nigg or wherever.

No doubt Vigo will have had a pre-prepared RNS ready to go about successful latch-up. But it hasn't happened, in fact there are strong reasons to suspect something's gone wrong, and might be 'price-sensitive'. So time for them to pull their finger out.

Maybe no RNS first thing Monday, but if not during the day their telephone will be ringing constantly.

I don't need a thesaurus nor a dictionary to check what 'camaraderie' means, thank you very much. Also, I know that this is a 'stockmarket BB' I'm posting on. Of late, imparting information about which other shareholders may not be aware, or may not understand. In a spirit of 'camaraderie'.

I am not 'playing at fools' here, nor attempting to be a zillionaire, nor claiming to be one. I'm just someone who was accused by someone else here the other day of being a 'hopeless gambler', has over the last few hours has driven 100 miles there-and-back to a seaside town and made 450 euros playing poker. But also checked this site, and couldn't wait to get back home for some keyboard-bashing again!

With a beer beside me, because I'm an incurable alcoholic, as well.

I can only suppose it was based on a 'Radio Warning' issued by HM Admiralty at 08:30 Thursday morning (hours before the boat was even over location, and still not deleted), though the Admiralty thing didn't have anything about Mairs nor the colour of the paint!

Either way, and despite what others here may say (though I defend to the death their right to differ with my opinion), this has been a balls-up. Radio stations, Admiralty offices, etc., reporting that the FPSO's on location when it isn't? Maybe chalk actually is cheese, after all.

I didn't have a spy-camera out there, nor anything like that, sure. No phone link with anyone on site. But I'm not stupid. And have a pretty good idea of what I'm 'seeing' via the limited means at my disposal.

The fact is that hookup was done (or at least partially, no info on that), then 'undone', and then things turned... weird. Or at least according to the stuff we 'shipwtchers' watch.

What do I care anyway? Time to make myself look presentable, do some high-speed drunken driving and go get a kiss on the cheek from the lovely 35-year old floor-manageress at my local casino before sitting down at the poker-table to indulge in some 'hopeless gambling'.

Whatever I post here won't effect anything on the bridge of the Aoka Mizu, the EPS timelines, the geology and the anticipated stupendous productivity of the Lancaster oilfield. So forget I ever wrote such condescending rubbish.
