True, it's not a 'full parcel'. But neverless, it's about the same as the first offload.

My personal gut-feeling is that a major factor is something quite prosaic, like shuttle-tanker availability and scheduling.

Correct on the part in parentheses, but the first bit is most unlikely. Changes in choke settings (the principle means of 'regulating' flow) won't be done on a daily basis, maybe not even weekly. The way to acquire reservoir and well information and data is to leave everything 'as is' and simply observe what the wells are 'telling you'. Only when they've been telling you the same thing day after day (or maybe over weeks) and you're happy with it, do you make changes. And then repeat the process.

Yes. The initial 9000 bbl/day guidance was very much based on contingency for potential teething problems and downtime related to the surface equipment. That was repeated at the AGM, and (I think) the CMD. We've also been told that the frequency of 'pigging runs' has been extended, and 'pigging' is a necessary evil and a form of downtime.

It's axiomatic that if downtime is less than (conservatively) anticipated, average daily production will be greater than the 'pessimistic' forecast.

Talking 'schedule' in these early days is to make a lot of wild assumptions. In this case, it should be noted that the PetroAtlantic's capacity is marginally less than that of the Amundsen Spirit. But only marginally.

Hopefully we still have our friendly 'spy' in Rotterdam (assuming that's where the tanker heads for) so we should know the offload volume fairly soon.

Personally, yes, I do think that Hurricane have had enough time and acquired enough data to have found a solution to that particular problem.

Once again, it mustn't be forgotten that both Halifax and WD were 'exploratory' wells,so regulations applied constraints relating to the 'mud density' used: regulations which are more more 'liberal' whe drilling subsequent 'appraisal' wells.

I'm not saying that mud density was the cause of the problem at Halifax, but am sure that it was an associated and aggravating factor.

But your stuff about not drilling a subvertical pilot well is utter nonsense. What the devil do you think happened around the back end of 2016?

And don't come back with some smart reply about 'why didn't they DST that well?', or 'why didn't they then sidetrack it?', because there are very good reasons, which it took a lot of us to work out, and which are now documented (though very well hidden) in company and OGA documents.

It's obvious that you have a certain amount of oilfield knowledge, but you're doing yourself a disservice by coming out with post which try to make yourself appear smarter than the people actually doing the work.

I'd suggest you spend time reading more of the background. In the 'technical library' and presentations on the company website, and also the CPR's.

Also, (just a personal note), you're the only person around who abbreviates Hurricane Energy Plc to 'HE'. Everyone else uses either the full name or the 'ticker', which is HUR.

Maybe. But the fact remains that they found a single substantial buyer. Which is very significant. It's not as though Kerogen had dumped 25% of their holding on the open market, because were that the case, it would be good cause for panic.

I think that's the most sensible post I've read so far today. It's natural that a large selloff by a major investor provokes nerves and negativity, but it mustn't be forgotten that Kerogen had a buyer lined up: another institution that wants 'in' on the story, making a very significant capital investment. So it's a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Plus also, nobody is going to make such a significant investment at these prices in the belief that the SP isn't likely to improve considerably in the future.

Yup, been still occasionally 'shipwatching', though no longer really 'reporting' on it here since the BB seems to have devolved into slanging-matches and p**sing-contests of late.

But some interesting stuff going on out in the field.

My guess (pure guesswork, mind), is getting some seabed data for an eventual Lincoln - FPSO tie-in if the well turns out to be good. Getting a jump-start on things.

Anyone who uses that tweet as a basis fot them to trade (be it buy or sell) is off their trolley. The tweeter's an obvious nutter.
