Shazabo. that what I was hoping to get a sense of.. i think they were working on reducing debt and refreshing exisitng pubs- to improve profits before lockdown. So yes possible but its hard to say what the SP will be as a result. in 2017 EPS was 14 pence but the SP didnt reflect this..
Hi Mathew as Mister mentioned, you could a limit order in.. if you do see the upside to 90+ and manage to get 65p that a good return. I watch the share this week, actually meant to buy earlier int the day but feel its already tested higher ground, moved lower.. moved back.. plus Bojo mentioning pubs opening sooner.. is great news. If people cant fly and the weather good.. pubs will do really well.
The simple trifecta I think of is Management, product/ service, funding. (Yes there are macro considerations...too)
I think Aston fans would have said last year they had 1 out of 3.. a great product - not sure non fans would agree...but with the revised line up of models and specials, the product is nailed and secured for future models.
They added funding too see them through for 12 months
...And finally they added a CEO.. who calls himself a strategist whos driven significant optimisation for AMG. Got rid of dead weight Board. They still have an interim CFO?.. so need to get that role right
But 3 ticks now. Not without risks, but heavily weight to positives and upside
strong finish. price movement on tuesday were a little odd... expected the rise to sustain, but i think the middday RNS on Friday caught people off guard, we then had the bank holiday.. and the powers that be moved it up pretty fast in the morning which stifled all other buying.. but seems like this is much more steady progress and Bojo's comments will help maintain momentum.. If people cant fly that easily, if the weathers great, then pubs opening will do really well.
Cheers Coffee. and thats a good point re options. Huge margins on those, I think at least another 10-20k on average. I read somewhere chinese rich are buying a lot of DBXs cos their roads are so bad and they want something luxurious but sturdy..
So say 50k at least on average volumes of 1500-2000 each year? 75-100m but upside to potentially double that.
go down specsavers and shoot your lame horse
Although Im critical of Astons design choices i think the CEO is a massive coup and this is a genuine rerating now. I still want them to adress the debt.. there are risks. but Im invested. i prefer annonymity and I know a lot of you LSE folk look down on advfn, but there are some decent and genuine investors there.. if you knew who i was and what i posted on AML youd see im strongly pro AML
Hello All I bought in earlier today pretty much at the top- neve been great on timing:)
I wanted to know if anyone has a view in terms of the value of the Operations/ pub business?
if the deal values the Brewing business at £580m a share price of 88pence.. how much should the operations be worth? I read that brewing only contributes 10-20% of the profits too? So either on NAV or profits basis- assuming we got normal operations by August...
any views appreciated
hi dreammachine, wasnt sure if you were replying to my comment.. I beleive Tobias will be on it.. but its visibility.
Whilst I think its a massive coup to get Tobias and i see a rerating taking place now, the debt and margins are what still cause concerns for some and for myself. i hope this addressed sooner rather than later not for the immediate SP but to improve their cashflow and reduce net debt
Ill be dialing into AGM. I dont believe they will but id hope there might be some comment even if its just intent on debt restructure/ review. AML went bust 7 times, mainly as they didnt control costs and debt. however many cars they well the need to look at margins and restructure if possible and then reduce the debt burden. I hope theyll choose to reduce debt to a decent cover ratio rather then push it all into further expansion..
MrFogg.. At Trades are a large part of trading on any day, but I think its fair to say the AT will kick in at 55, 60, 70, 80, etc. We're now sticking quite clsoe to 55.. I see this trading in a range between 50-60 potentially for a few sessions before moving towards 70p
