From tonight's national news it has already been mentioned by some on here regarding the Autumn Booster Jab for certain groups - expected to be rolled out starting in September, it has also been decided this year that all over 50's will automatically be offered the Flu Vaccine.
Without exception none of us are happy with the many months of seeing the SP slide and many have had their patience tested - yes can't wait for the DHSC issue to be resolved.
However I am determined to remain positive and to help with that I re-visit some of the RNS and try and keep the focus on all of the good things that I believe will fall into place hopefully in the not too distant future which will see the SP climb.
Yes, all are looking forward to 19th July for the lifting of lockdown but many in trepidation. Chris Whitty supports the lifting on 19th July for people to enjoy the summer but has caveated with his expectation that the Winter will be a challenge for everyone. He warns of "a tough winter ahead"
So let's remind ourselves of some key tools in GM's tool kit.
- Antibody LFT - The planned launch Q3 so great timing to introduce to the market at the time when all will be wondering whether they have antibodies in their system or not should they not be in groups offered the Booster - I would certainly be very keen to find out for myself.
- Development of an antibody lateral flow test for COVID-19
The Company continues to work on developing an IgG antibody lateral flow test (LFT) for use as a rapid antibody test for professional use. An LFT is an easy-to-use diagnostic device used to confirm the presence or absence of a pathogen or biomarker and takes approximately 10-20 minutes or less to provide a result.
- PathFlow® SARS-CoV-2 SMART IgG is a next generation LFT to detect and, importantly, differentiate between IgG antibodies. The test is expected to assist clinicians in understanding the impact of immunisation programmes, as well as the levels of immunity derived from infection by the virus. The Company now expects to launch this test as a CE-IVD in Q3 2021.

- Development/launch of an innovative assay panel for the detection of aspergillus, a respiratory fungal infection associated with co-infection risk in patients with COVID-19.
