FYI - Just realised that it’s possible to get RNS announcements sent to your phone when they happen much like you would with a regular news update, rather than needing to get up each day and refresh LSE at 7am. Should be an option on your investing platform of choice.

Useful article. A company is never contractually obliged to release an RNS unless the news will have a material effect on the SP. The Nomad will be in charge of the release of these according to this article.

If we have a number of vehicles now in production, why wouldn’t see any evidence of this in the next set of financials ?

RNS requires a statement to be released if there will be a significant affect on the business. As such, much smaller contracts might not need to be made public to us, however if many vehicles are now starting to be in production then this should surely be visible in the next financials in 6 months ?

Really looking forward to the day I wake up and we have a couple of contracts in black and white !

Don't know why China thinks people really want to spend their time spying on *them* anyway..

Who on earth does their social media marketing?! Surely it would be better to put nothing up (in this kind of industry, is online marketing really necessary anyway?) than something reflecting on an achievement two years ago - especially at a time when there is so much else for them to be saying!

When did CB say that we should wait to achieve a $20bn offer? I only heard on the podcast that it's unlikely that a Tier 1 would acquire SEE because it doesn't make sense for SEE tech to be exclusive - especially now that they have a way to licence their tech so that everyone can benefit from its safety critical nature.

Perhaps they are simply embracing competition - acknowledging competitor achievements ? Nothing wrong with that.

The insurance reduction makes total sense if it were to encourage people to adopt vision-based DMS, but only before the Euro NCap and GSR mandates because then it will be compulsory. I do wonder if, when this technology is introduced to mass markets - and therefore the masses of people, terminology around it may need to be reviewed. Words like 'tracked' are almost buzzwords to instigate complaints about invasions of privacy etc. However, as Colin B. mentioned yesterday, why would people have a problem with a camera in the cabin anyway, picking up data of us driving. What would the automakers - or insurance companies - do exactly with raw video footage of us all driving a car ? Put that into context with the amount of data Facebook has scraped from us all unknowingly...

Ask long as our SP isn’t sitting where it is this time next year!

I would quite like a little jump to 13p as well, but only if it is sustainable. I don’t want a massive jump for it to fall in the days afterwards like it seems to have done recently. We need regular RNS to keep SP momentum, otherwise it just drifts. Still unsure why SEYE manage to release RNS on so many design wins, yet SEE have NDAs so can’t. Can anyone shed a guess?

This will be interesting. I think that the largest SP rise from memory was when Euro NCAP mandated the DMS requirements on all vehicles in Europe. It is expected that this will also become rule in 2024 in USA. Unfortunately 8 people per day are killed in crashes that reportedly involve a distracted driver.

SEE have not pitched for China contracts for a number of reasons. PM stated this in his last video interview. Via Qualcomm, SEE may indirectly enter the China market, for example in NioET7 but I am not surprised, nor concerned, that SEYE have won a China contract. One company cannot take over the entire worldwide DMS market. It is healthy to have competitors.

Some of the language in that report is unprofessional. “Yeh, nah” and other apparent words of wisdom aren’t the expected tone of a serious financial equity research report. That’s just my opinion, and puts me off the analyst reporting.
