I too agree that this is just as exciting as a contract win. I thought that it would take much longer for Congress to mandate this Act!! The fitment rate of SEE tech is going to grow exponentially over the coming years over there because of this, and if we are working with all major automotive manufacturers then we can hopefully expect some sort of FCA contract news over time as well. Last year, in the midst of stay - at - home orders during the pandemic, auto sales *still* managed to reach 14m plus in USA.

Remember, the global auto market is the largest manufacturing industry in the world in terms of market size and it’s expected to increase in 2021 by 9.7%. Globally, the industry is worth $2.7tr. US being the latest country to mandate DMS highlights a pattern developing globally of country after country adopting technology to make the roads safer and save lives.

Good to see that Paul Mc has been advising on this Act and that the US views of safety in transport are completely aligned with our views....

I notice that they have rated SEE as a ‘momentum trap’ which is quite disappointing - even though our revenue is greater than that of SEYE. I guess that by the end of this year we will know one way or the other whether this is going to materialise, of whether they are correct.

It’s interesting to note that the recent purchase by Adams plc is in fact a company controlled by Richard Griffiths who already owns a notifiable stake in the company...which is surely a good thing because he has bought more at a higher shaper price....

10th DMS win with 7th OEM
Seeing Machines has announced that it has been selected by an additional global Automotive Tier 1 supplier to deliver its FOVIO Driver and Occupant Monitoring System (OMS) technology to an additional North America-based OEM. The Driver Monitoring System (DMS) will be delivered via the company’s embedded Driver Monitoring Engine (FOVIO e-DME software library) and this is Seeing Machines’s first design award for its Occupant Monitoring System which was launched in October 2020. Mass production is scheduled from late 2022 with an initial lifetime award value of A$7m.
? Comment: The win is positive for the company making it the tenth RFQ win with the seventh OEM and with a seventh Teir-1 supplier. It is also one of the first new DMS awards announced since the onset of the pandemic demonstrating in our view that the automotive industry is getting back in gear sourcing DMS and we believe many more RFQs are in process for award this year. It is the first win for the Seeing Machines OMS which helps validate the value of the Seeing Machines OMS offering and feature set, the potential of which provides upside to our long-term expectations. As it is a new OEM, Tier 1 and product, we expect there to be some Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) incurred in the near term to implement the technology into a vehicle, the timescales of which are tight by automotive standards. As Seeing Machines already has won DMS business with all three US automotive majors, and it is careful with the partners it chooses, we believe this design win is likely to be with a well-funded new EV manufacturer. As with previous wins, we believe the announced value (net of the NRE) will be based on minimum volume commitments to the Tier1 to enable them to price and gear up the supply chain. As a new EV manufacturer, we believe the success of the model and brand will be relatively binary and if successful, volumes are likely to be significantly greater than this minimum. With production targeted by the end of 2022 this win is therefore expected to have an impact on the forecast period providing further confidence in our expectations for Seeing Machines’ automotive DMS. We iterate our Buy recommendation and 16.0p valuation.

Sounds like you are suspicious and maybe even an idiot. I think it’s someone simply sharing their disappointment with people that may understand their frustration. I am sure quite a few of us experience this from time to time investing in the stock market.

Sadly the SP is taking another tumble, hoping not back into single digits again. Why does this share always fall so much on no news - is that AIM generally, or market makers ? The more it falls the more consecutive RNS’s we need, otherwise it will take a long time to climb to 20p

Why does the article state that Ford developed the technology in their lab in Palo Alto ? Does that mean they put components together, or developed their own system ?

I couldn’t read the FT article below, but if you Google Quantumscape, loads of articles advising against buying their stock appear. Might be another overpriced scenario like Deliveroo.
It’s crazy that they have zero revenue and will make $53m revenue in 2025 yet they are valued at at least $9bn !!

Even in 2 years, just imagine the potential that SEE has to offer!
