I found myself with ii following its takeover of Share Centre. Their dealing platform and web layout is pretty slick, the service is excellent and their prices ok, better than HL with whom I also have an account.

I have found myself using ii much more than HL, even transferring some money into ii. I have also bought shares in ABDN as I see it as a good proposition for improvement. The current divi is a winner too.

The "sell" price was identical to a buy ten minutes before. Not convinced. I think "summats up' Don't sell.

Unless something bad happens, which seems unlikely just now, I am sticking around. There is an autumn divi about 5% followed by the busy Xmas days. Maybe a special divi too.

Alnwick. I bought into CARD because my missus spends loads of cash in their shops. She buys cards for kids, grandkids, uncles/aunts, nephews/nieces, neighbours in new homes, friends and relations in new jobs, thank you cards for when we go on hols, get well cards, birthday cards, etc etc. And of course Xmas when she really goes to town.

I tell her to buy more so as to increase CARD’s profits and hence my div, a perk that she doesn’t know about. It’s Win, Win for me.

Population of UK – about 70 million many of whom go in and out of CARD shops all day long. Just sit on a bench near a CARD shop and watch the foot fall.

I am a Red Rose but I don't mind advising a Yorky Bar, after all they know nowt.

More chunky buys today. Someone may be building a stake (not me). The next good divi is October? And then it's only 90 odd days to Xmas and CARD'S best days.

We don’t know how entirely accurate the figures on here but they suggest:

You make a good point Tygra. As a very long term investor with MTL I have to say that the company ability to promote itself has always been poor, mostly by underselling the positives, even more so at this debt free time. The company needs to take a look at this lack of regular information rather than their issue of standardised low-key 3 monthly reports.

Each day is seeing too many sells, a drifting of the SP around 4p through a lack of media updates and positivity from the seemingly silent boardroom.

The next key date is an “August” EGM. Before then the company must surely issue an update around key progress with Abra to build up a head of steam before the EGM vote/ result and to then shout from the rooftops. Otherwise the reaction from the market will be muted yet again.

On the other hand this time is an opportunity to top up below 5p
