Here in NW England shops like B&M and Home Bargains are already gearing up for Xmas and Halloween with displays on the shop floors. CARD have online Christmas cards and although I haven’t been in their shop this week so I expect the shops have them too.

We are coming to a very busy money making time for CARD and all retailers. It’s the reason I am not for selling my holding in CARD now or anytime in the foreseeable future.

A minor blip today in the SP but we have had a nice run. GLA

IF RDH has "news about the sale and leaseback plan for the ships" he should be sharing the news via a RNS to the market and shareholders rather than discussing it with punters on the ships, not all of whom will be Shareholders.

Is anyone expecting news about the ABRA deal before the EGM or do we think it will be a simple YES/NO vote and that’s our lot?

Although the vote is pretty much guaranteed to be in favour, some positive updates about recent drilling and/or exploration together with the continued strength of gold might just push the SP up.

It would be better if Sycamore Partners bought out Saga to add to their $10 billion portfolio. They would do us long suffering shareholders a great favour.
