Amazon has partnered with Athonet, Ruckus Networks, Federated Wireless to deliver a private LTE network based on CBRS and in the cloud, Multichannel News reported. The news was announced at AWS re:Invent. The network is aimed at developers, independent software vendors, telecom operators, the public sector, enterprises, and any company needing a quick deployment of industrial IoT applications, such as for real-time surveillance, smart meters and worker safety monitoring. The companies said the system is a cheaper and more efficient way of building a private mobile CBRS network. LightReader wrote that a workshop at AWS re:Invent, ASD and its partners will set up an end-to-end private LTE network with AWS DeepLens cameras connected to band 48 compatible customer premises equipments (CPEs) over CBRS. The DeepLens cameras run machine learning models for object recognition and will show the secure and reliable connectivity of the system. Over 100 developers will set up their respective DeepLens devices by registering them to the AWS platform during the workshop, downloading the Object recognition model and testing the application end-to-end.
