Really does not make sense to give half our oil away for a measly 40 million investment.

I33, MB has been very upbeat on the Gazelle updip, i see no reason to suspect it would be similar to H2, also as its updip from Gazelle 1 and oil is lighter than water its unlikely to have and water ingress issues, drilling for oil is a gamble, no getting away from that, you ask what happens if Gazelle 2 is similar to H2, i ask what happens if Gazelle 2 is better than Gazelle 1 ?.

MB was keen on a farm out, yes he was but that was last year before these elevated oil prices, these high oil prices change everything, you would need to be very very dense not to realise this or the benefits of going it alone.

Proquo, if we get a good result at GOBI then the case for going it alone is even stronger, add to this, with the increased revenue due to oil prices we could also afford to drill Gazelle 2 later this year.

Agreed, whole dynamic has changed, hence my thoughts we are better going it alone, why give half our oil away.

To those that want a farm in, you keep blaming MB for not delivering, in any deal / partnership there are negotiations that take place, MB wants the best deal for MATAD, the interested party want the best deal for their company, i would suggest the reason that no final deal has been put on the table yet is due to MB holding out for a good deal, quick deals are seldom good deals.

RNS farm out news might see a 100% rise on the day followed by constant rerate as wells are completed, in reality we need to be producing several thousand barrels a day and selling to the refinery, that is when we will see big money here.

Almost certainly the farm out proposal was OVL VIDESH, doubt very much id Petrol China would be interested in a farm out, they are not known for sharing, they would prefer to buyout block XX

Would agree, with these high oil prices likely to be around for the foreseeable future (this year at the very least) this changes our block XX value greatly.

Proquo, over winter it's likely H2 would have built up some pressure in the well, if so that would help in evacuating the fluids and help in getting it flowing.

By my calculations we have cash for GOBI & H2 with cash left over, add to this cash from forward oil sales we may even have enough by August/Sept to drill Gazelle 2
