The Heron-1 well continues to produce with artificial lift at a rate of c. 150 barrels per day (bopd) with water cut stable at c. 3%. The well performance to date when compared to data the Company has for other wells in the basin indicates a pressure profile similar to some of the BETTER producing wells in Block XIX = H1 production equals Petro China higher producing wells.

To date, data from Heron-1 does not show that any faults or reservoir boundaries have been encountered that limit reservoir volume. Trucking, offloading and transfer operations at the Block XIX TA-1 facilities continue to run smoothly. = The H1 reservoir is HUGE !!!!.

Petro Matad met with senior representatives of PetroChina Mongolia to discuss the withholding of revenue. The feedback received from the Mongolian Tax Authorities was presented and Petro Matad provided further comfort that VAT and Customs Duties are not payable on Block XX oil sales as per the Production Sharing Contract, Petroleum Law and the well defined precedents set in the country. PetroChina has responded to say that once the oil sales agreement has been re-worded to incorporate the pertinent details, they will then start paying the invoices in full and will clear the withheld backlog. We are working on the amended wording as a matter of urgency. = Petro China withholding 30% almost remedied.

I see H2 producing around 5th / 6th of October with a bopd rate the following week.

Gazelle assuming commercial (and sure it will be) on production late October early November, Gobi well test to follow, my understanding according to July 30th presentation Gobi will be a short/quick well test to prove oil present or not, i do not see it onstream this year even if oil is present, but who knows.

320+ bopd over winter would be a nice boost.

TT1981, agreed gas at H2 is great sign and should aid production, 2 reasons, i assume like H1 the gas is suspended in the oil, as it comes out of suspension it creates heat which will help warm the well, heat thins the waxy oil and increases production, add the gas pressure and we might be in for a pleasant surprise with H2s bopd.

Proquo, Gazelle & Gobi were never tested, we have wireline logs only, while these logs give good idea of well deliverability they are not definitive, indeed this is another positive for H2 pumped well test, no arguements about the results once conducted.

However i do understand where your coming from ref DQE, hence i asked if a technically competant person would be in attendance for these reworks.

Ref satellite images today, seems the rig is still at H2, i would bet it will be gone by tomorrow.

Also why the 530km pipeline is being built with 5 heating pump stations along its route, i image all TAMSAG oil is waxy.

I33, it all relates to our oil being waxy, it becomes thicker in colder conditions, hence needing to be kept warm in winter so it can be pumped into the tankers, similar problem in the well, as the well heats up the waxy oil flows faster and becomes more productive, you may remember my post few days ago that explains.

I33, you are correct in what you say, only an additional 15 bopd required, its the fact they are running the completion string that clinches it for me, 250 joints production tubing plus packers to be installed downhole, this would only be done if MB is positive that H2 will be commercial, it also makes perfect sense as running the string early means the rig is free to move to Gazelle,

flow testing programme now upcoming. While it continues its Heron-2 activities,

Petro Matad is also moving its workover rigs to Gazelle-1. The flow testing programme for this

well is expected to start before the end of September, and conclude by the end of October, with

the potential for the well to be brought onstream on success. Gazelle-1 is a discovery well

drilled by Petro Matad in 2019 (not progressed at the time due to land access issues), and we

believe this could potentially add production of around 100bbl/d for Petro Matad on flow testing

success. We await further news here too.

Latest RNS is super confident, basically rather than waste time swabbing H2 of the last 640 barrels of injected fluids we are completing the well and installing the beam pump, oil tank and surface equipment, we will ascertain bopd with pumped tests, reason for this is easily explained, they want the rig on Gazelle ASAP and MB is super confident H2 will be a producer so why waste more time wireline swabbing.

ZEUS note states Gazelle might produce 100 bopd, only one place they would have got that figure.

The swabbing process explained at the link below, installing the beam pump will clear out the 640 barrels of injected fluids much faster than swabbing will as the beam pump has much more powerful suction.

Once the completion string is run its a case of installing the surface equipment (wellhead, flowlines, beam pump, oil tank etc) would expect 2 to 3 days for surface works, as the RNS states pumping by end of the month, 640 barrels of injected fluids to evacuate should take around 4 or 5 days then add 5 or 6 days for an oil bopd rate but i expect it could take longer as i fully expect bopd to increase as we continue pumping, in other words once swabbing is completed we might expect 45 bopd day one of pumping then 50 bopd day 2 and subsequent days will each see an increase.

I would not expect a final bopd for H2 until the second week of October.

The long white object which sat towards the south end of H2 wellsite is now gone and sitting at Gazelle, looks like the rig which i assume to be the redish object at the north end of H2 is still there, the rig would certainly be needed for running the completion string which should take at most 48 hours to run.

Hamm, i am just stating the obvious, to bring beam pump & oil tanks etc onsite is low cost plus these can be moved quite easily, but to run the completion string is major, we are speaking 250 tubing joints plus packers etc, these are not cheap, we also have the rig time for running these joints, again not cheap, no company would go to this expense unless they were very very confident that the well was commercial.

As for the after hours/Monday RNS idea we are due another RNS, lots of news to come such as Gazelle work scope, Petro China payments plus the tax situation, we still need clarity on how the directors that took a pay cut will be awarded shares in lieu, could be an update on farm out news, lot of news to come.

Facts are.

1: H2 well acidization has been completed.

2: During the pre-acid clean up gas and oil were observed in greater concentrations than those seen in the original well testing programme conducted in October 2024.

3: H2 well will now be completed by running completion string and bringing beam pump and oil tank etc onsite.

4: Once completed the well will be put into production and the daily bopd advised after pumped tests have been conducted.

Think its fair to say MB is obviously very confident that H2 will be commercial, quite simply you do not run a completion string and bring in beam pump & oil tanks unless there is a considerable degree of confidence.
