Good to hear we will finally be changing over to grid electric rather than using expensive and costly diesel generators, our H1 electric requirements include the following, Hydraulic pumps, compressors, separators but our biggest spend electric wise would be in the cold winter months when our stored oil needs to be kept warm as oil becomes more viscous (thicker) at low temperatures making it harder to flow and pump intp the trucks that collect it. grid electric is a win win situation as well as being more reliable than generators which have a tendency to break down it much cheaper, good move by MB.

Its unlikely the refinery will come onstream and straight onto 100% capacity (30,000 bopd) more likely 60 to 70 % capacity initially before ramping up to 100% capacity within a year or so, either way they need MATADs Heron oil field and if the want it in the quantity the refinery needs they have to start drilling new Heron wells early next year, PC have had around 55 to 65% success rate in their field to the north, even drilling 30 wells in a year will result in circa 16 productive wells, MATADs H1 well is now pumping 160 bopd, considerably more than PC average from their played out wells.

Its also worth remembering the Heron field is the only untapped oilfield known at this time that has the quantity of oil in place to feed the refinery in coming years, the Competent person report for Heron put the oil in place as 33 million barrels but possibly as much as 66 million barrels utilizing new oilfield techniques.

Oil at H1 was initially pushed to the surface by well pressure, no beam pump needed, however that reservoir pressure has depleted and like Petro China wells we are now using a beam pump to suck H1s 160 bopd to surface, the change to beam pump dictates a gradual changeover, 160 bopd being an acceptable and safe rate that MATAD have computed, its very possible this can be increased but the well must first be monitored to ensure no issues in the changeover to the beam pump.

Some may not be aware that GOBI was drilled by the Soviets back in the 60s, GOBI has huge potential, do not write off GOBI BEAR 1, 34 m of reservoir quality sandstones.

JADE / Australia are currently drilling in GOBI.

Back in the 60s the Soviets built a small refinery in the GOBI to process the oil from their 2 GOBI fields but a fire at the refinery plus new found oilfields in Russia the Soviets pulled out of the GOBI and blew everything up before leaving.

If you have read and investigated the numerous factual and checkable links i posted earlier you will reach one conclusion, Mongolia are intent on being self sufficient energy wise ASAP, to do this they need the refinery and Mongolian oil to feed it, at present Mongolias daily oil production is not enough to run the refinery at 100% capacity, they are around 14000 bopd short of what they need, Petro China production is falling, their 20 year old wells in the oilfield adjacent to MATADS Heron field are played out, Mongolia and Petro China need the oil from the Heron field, its the only known oilfield that can supply the quantity needed, hence the dirty tricks from Petro China, taking months to pay for our oil then witholding 30% payment for oil on some spurious tax claim, essentially Petro China have put us in the position we needed a raise, amazed some cannot understand this or to be more exact do not want to see this.

Also seems that many stock BASHERs have arrived on the board, non holders that can spend hours and hours every day making up outrageous fake claims, dirty tricks indeed, the Chinese way.

MATADs Heron field is in the sothern section of TAMSAG Basin, Petro Chinas oilfield is adjacent to the north, geologies are identical, the Chinese know exactly what lies beneath the Heron field.

H2 fact, not NEG fiction, what was really said, check the LSE interview, MB actually said that at 30 bbl/d H2 was marginally commercial during the winter months, hence its commercial during the summer months, I would assume this is due to the costs of keeping our waxy oil hot and less viscous so it will pump easier during the winter months, it may never be a huge producer but even 100 bopd is a commercial production rate.

Mongolias riches !!, think on, much of this now belongs to MATAD.
