@Bablake No problem! IMO the hourly chart is just day to day market noise & for medium / long term holders the higher time frames really do need to be considered. The hourly may show a local uptrend but the monthly may show a global down trend. You can review historic chart patterns by identifying previous patterns & seeing the SP breakout of a pattern.
A little story….About 25 years ago a friend of mine Matt met up with someone who worked in the ‘money markets’. Matt was a recruitment specialist @ the time & heard that serious money could be made in the City of London. I asked Matt a few weeks later how the meeting went & was trading difficult? Matt said this person said it was quiet easy really & it was all about finding patterns! At the time I didn’t know what an SP chart was let alone what he meant by patterns.
Patterns (shapes) can be found within candle stick charts just like in the natural world – That’s why the Fibonacci retracement levels are used as a trading strategy (If you’re not familiar Google ‘Fibonacci in the nature’ & check out the patterns that are formed by plants & animals based on mathematics).
For trading you should start @ the higher time frames (months, weeks & days) & identify the patterns & medium term trends. Then use the lower time frames (days, hours & minutes ) to time your entry correctly. The most powerful patterns are the ones that keep repeating & get tested multiple times by the SP.
TA is a very powerful tool & should be used along with the fundamentals to determine a good entry & exit point – In fact some PI’s just use TA!

The deadline for Arcadia Group bids is the 18th January.
After the submission date will the preferred bidders be whittled down further to perhaps 2 or 3 & has a date been confirmed for when the successful bidder will be announced & could this be 8 to 8 weeks after the 18th?
With my cap firmly in my hand & after eating a healthy slice of humble pie, I'd like too sincerely apologize to all posters on this BB for previously asking about Shein's deliveries & returns! I posted my query in good faith & my intention was to try & calm the nerves of other BB posters because clearly BOO have a delivery ADVANTAGE over Shein!
Can I also mention that BOO offers a subscription deliver service for £9.99 PLUS FREE returns which makes for a hassle free shopping experience!!! Onwards & Upwards & DYOR!
The pull back @ 8.30am was an ideal entry point for day traders therefore I'm anticipating the day traders to sell off this afternoon. I'll be happy if we see some support @ 350. NXT obviously up & ASC @ +2.0% which is positive.
