There is nothing wrong with being pleased with your investment outcome.

My job is at risk and I knew it was coming, despite that I have thrown the kitchen sink at stocks for 18 months.

It is beginning to pay off and I have spent every day looking into things, reading and worrying have I done the right thing.

I am by no means counting my chickens as in my opinion there is a long way to go and things can and do get worse economically , without notice.

But considering my employment situation , I will not apologise if my stocks do well.

There’s reasons for RR’s inflated price . I sold at 290p but put it elsewhere which has much lower valuation.

There’s reasons for BT being suppressed but I can see a reduced capex future and a reason to hold shares in a future cash cow.

I hold Vodafone shares but I can’t see what they will do that will cause a catapult in fortunes? Rolls yes, bt yes, but Vodafone, not so much.

Blue Pete I base all my financial decisions on Mandy’s comments. Only on a Thursday morning mind. He’s sober for those few hours.

Personally I don’t mind what the bank says at 12pm. Ideally I want to reinvest my dividends on all my stocks , but the only ones floundering are BT and VOD.

So a dampening of expectations for a couple months until divis reinvested on those two before the inevitable following of US rate cut policy next year … would be good.

Rather reinvest low than take cash.

Savage keyboard , I’m a regular poster here. Certainly not a shorter . I have a holding not too far off fleccys.

Vodafone is a very good buy at 65p. In 5-10 years it will have proven so.

However for anyone who has an average above 100p… not so much.

There will be a recovery , one day.

I am holding my shares. 185p I’ll sell. Until then I’m enjoying divis!

I only considered buying vod last year . My average is 88p. I’ve had some divis too. I don’t see 206p again. Maybe 130 in a few years tho.

Aren’t on the Dow. *

The Dow isn’t the ftse. We aren’t on the ftse. And the Uk inflation is much higher even though it’s come down. Interest rates are higher and will take longer to come down.

I don’t see a bull case for us, for another year.

Looks like the Czech is after buying Czech parcels group now .

Maybe that’s the news for the 12% rise?

Can’t see it being a rumoured big dividend …?

Happy to hold this for the long term but glad I’m not in big as I can see it treading water. But want to be in for the inevitable medium term rise!
