The next two or three years were always going to be challenging until capex comes down and the sp reflects the financial knife edge the company is on until that infrastructure investment subsides.

I have mainly bought stocks since liz truss debacle , companies such as phnx aviva lgen Tw bdev , RR (now sold) easyjet (only small position.

I have shares in bt group, Vodafone, Royal Mail and a small holding in DLG which isn’t doing good at all, but I did have admiral at £17 a share and sold at £27.50.

Hopefully I can keep reinvesting. All I want is basic income.

I’ll look into growth funds, but my main priority was dividends in an isa.

I also have workplace pension which is currently doing well. As well as cash savings and been paying off mortgage

I would be happy to have the equivalent money adjusted for inflation in my older years. Possibly £15k but adjusted for inflation would be nice , to pay bills and fuel

Thanks , how many years of reinvestment and compounding do you believe is necessary before taking as income?

Would it be wise to retire at 50 and use divis as income , or how badly does this erode the capital and divi by inflation ?
