Also put £1500 in NatWest when it hit 175p recently , going to hold all my shares and hopefully reinvest divis and compound this year , hopefully before any stock market recovery when interest rates go down.

Looks like you’re right I’ve checked my September divi and the fee was capped at £9.50.

I had read somewhere the 2% is capped at £12.50.

£3 insignificant but Halifax fees are a bit high and they all add up.

I try and buy on commission sale days £3.50 a trade .

Apparently Barclays is £6 a trade .

Other brokers are free but if they go out of business like that orca did , my mate had to transfer his shares and they had to take his money out of the isa , apparently

Drip is 2% up to £12.50 plus stamp duty with Halifax.

You don’t see the transaction breakdown like you do with a new trade. A new trade is £9.50 plus the stamp.

If your sp is 110p they take off the fees from your dividend value and show in your account a higher share purchase price avg accounting for the fee paid.

Duncb the price shown in your Halifax includes the fee. So the average is higher than the actual sp you bought at.

Halifax also bought mine at 112.75 average including fee

Unfortunately most reinvestment days it’s the worst price on the day.

This is exactly what went on with fttc and why Bt didn’t miss its targets. It’s hard to judge if figures are fudged and who can really check their homework. The share price around the £5 days was partly due to constantly smashing FTTC targets during Iain livingstones tenure.

On fttc , a 288 dslam may provide service to 500 premises . But based on take up analytics while there are only 288 ports, it’s anticipated only a portion of the 500 will take up service. Cost, business locations by postcode, other providers in the area.

So homes passed on a 288 fttc cabinet would still be 500 even if all 500 couldn’t be served.

Likely same rationale on fttp.

And for that reason he will remain filtered.

The problem with Mandy is two points

1. He posts way too often, it’s spam, it’s trolling . It’s flooding the bb

2. He mocks the staff and wishes them to lose their jobs

This is what many people on the IDS Royal Mail board do. Which makes it pointless reading. Thankfully mandy is the only one here.

I am not and never have been an employee of this company but I would not wish the staff on the coal face any job loss or mock their efforts. It’s a business decision to cut jobs. Not our malicious wish.

Christofer , by comparing this to football , and not being to laugh at your team losing , you show that it isn’t just a case of you taking your finances seriously.

You shouldn’t invest so much that short term volatility has you being all serious and enough to spoil your weekend. 3 months of share price decline of 15% perhaps. But not 1.5% down on a Friday.

Yes you should be able to laugh at drops , within reason. As the path to glory is never a straight line. Put another way , the path to glory is never as straight laced as you.
