I am careful but prefer the posts are gone.

I do / did look up the tax allowances online on gov site but wasn’t quite sure about dividends outside an isa above £500, and income tax under £12750 without an income.

I didn’t post my exact dividends, or any other specifics of my circumstances.

All Fleccy did was clarify what the gov site said and my own interpretation. I’m not completely novice myself and nor do I take what Fleccy or anyone else here says as gospel. Even though I appreciate their posts.

In a few months companies like Bt vod and ids could be performing well and everything else could be stagnating, its swings and roundabouts for the sake of a few months.

But yes it’s a bit disappointing. I don’t think a 6/12 month chart can tell you too much comparatively though.

I have equal money in lgen and aviva, but aviva price isn’t enough for me to sell at. So the difference between the two companies short term performance is inconsequential to me.

Stock market recoveries happen at different stages and speeds. I was under the impression banks insurers and houses were first, retail last and everything else in between. So I guess it’s just a case of patience.

Lgen has declined in the last 3-4 years like most ftse.

If you look at aviva and lgen 10 year charts aviva is the one in decline despite recent recovery.

Lgen will recover somewhat too. They’re both decent stocks

Sold my DS Smith holding this morning at 399 and topped up my phnx shares. I was only going to use it on Bt group or phnx.

Just looked at the us fund and looks like it’s invested in the stocks I wanted but never bought early enough!

Guessing the 40% us is the reason my pension pot rocketed recently

40% of my pension is in Standard life sustainable index US equity pension fund

8% is in the same fund but European

Then 7% in same fund but Uk.

Rest is spread across world

I have shares in Aviva barc lgen nwg. I’m up on all of them and I reinvested all my divis. Going forward I won’t reinvest divis as they have risen.

I had Sainsbury’s at 170p and sold at 265p

I had RR at 115p and sold at 288p , wish I’d held, but I put the money in phnx at 475p

I am in the red on ids vod and Bt.

Probably just removed because it was construed as financial advice. Personally I don’t mind as I read the advice Fleccy gave and it’s better if it’s removed from public viewing now.

I’m only in the green with phnx by £500. And im a bit in the red on BT.

So I’m wondering if I should go 50/50 Bt and phnx into the isa on 06/04

I have some phnx shares outside my isa. Should I transfer these into the isa after 06/04, before or after ex date? I either get the divi paid into the isa , or I get a reduced share price into my ISA on ex date.

Also, I have other shares outside my isa.

Is phnx a good candidate , or should I transfer my Bt group shares in?

I wondered about Reckitt , smith snd nephew or Wpp

I think when reading these comments the gist I’m getting is aviva is probably worth holding onto with my 424p avg, but it isn’t worth buying more or doing dividend reinvestment.
