Seems that he's prepared for the appointment of an independent assessor in the coming months - looks like NCM are still trying to value the 5% on the PFS and not on the updated MRE. That could seriously backfire on them.

Shaun has exactly the same view of the results as NCM - how do you think that GGP managed to produce an interim report 7 weeks ago when NCM decided they were going back to quarterly reports.

I think you'll find that they are going as fast as humanly possible. They are working 24/7 on the decline and I fail to see how adding more "miners" to the mix would decrease the time it will take them to get to the orebody.

What will help is when they confirm the ground conditions are getting better and they can increase the advancement cuts into the rock at each pass.

I agree with Jerry - obviously SB is not going to "big it up" while negotiations are ongoing, it is just the way it's going to be until the 5% is decided.

Hopefully the drill bit will do more talking tomorrow night.

Maybe the fact that we've got the lowest tenement number allocated means that our application was processed first.

I think you've missed out a digit on those tenements Moose, those one's that you listed have been dead for years according to the Aussie emits website.

Greatland are in for the following tenements

E 45/6134 - lodged on the 05/01/2022
E45/6164 - lodged on the 07/02/2022
E45/6188 - lodged on the 02/03/2022

All these have been applied for by multiple parties - not just GGP so we have to wait to see the outcome of the decision.

More than happy for it to be called "gazundering" Strudel. Shaun did say in London that there is a part of him that would just like to get the 5% deal done and out of the way so he can start with a clean slate but then he understands the importance of brokering the best possible deal and as he keeps saying - shareholders should be confident that he has put the right team in place to allow this to happen.

He said that NCM were happy to sign up to a deal the week after they had bid for it having no doubt already done the number crunching that they were bringing to the table - I for one am more than happy to give Shaun every bit of support and leeway on this issue, he is fighting tooth and nail to bring as much value into the SP as possible.

Like Bamps says that production leg of the Lassonde curve is getting more and more tantalising close with every day that passes.

My understanding of the 5% negotiations is that they are based on a point in time which was triggered when NCM decided to bid for it. They wanted to use the PFS number as that was the only figure out in the public at that time but Shaun and the team gazumped them by updating the number but only up to the drilling at the 5th December.

So in essence the 5% parameters have already been set and whatever MRE upgrade that NCM come up with in August isn't going to have an effect on those negotiations IMO. Maybe I am reading the situation incorrectly but that's my understanding.

It's not 5% of GGP - it's 5% of Havieron and it's still being negotiated.

They have 12 months from the day that they informed GGP of their intention to bid to complete the deal. GGP put out an RNS on the 21st December so I assume they have until the 21st December this year to either agree or have determination of the fair value. Once that is decided Newcrest have another 30 days to decide if they want to take the 5% or not.

Just did a quick tweet to indicate what Bamps is referring to about the quick access/development of ore from the first vertical mining face. This is directly from the end of the decline so would only require the small capex to enable the drives and x-cuts to be driven into the ore-body. As the SLOS system is a top-down mining method - the first ore would be rolling off to Telfer relatively quickly and that means our pathway to cash flow would be pretty rapid.

The ore is that section is the best understood as it naturally has the most drill-holes through it at the moment and the oz's per vertical metre are between 6K & 10K per metre.

The US listed fund has 211,674,411 and the UK listed fund has 21,730,330 giving Van Eck GDXJ a total of 233,404,741 GGP shares.

Unless there is another fund / area within Van Eck that we are not aware of then I have to assume it is some sort of double count or miscount.

Cheers Mark, they were fun times when there were new pads and rigs appearing all over the place on a weekly basis. The progress is a little slower now with the orebody being pretty much defined (for now) but unbelievable that after all this time it's pretty much still open in all directions and at depth.

Personally I think we can go a lot further yet - IMHO.

Looks to me like they are getting busy on the first of the three pads that seemed to be cleared to the south of the sand dune. This one is about 400m to the SE of HAD152 (awaiting assays) and will either be going North / North East and very deep into the SE crescent to test the extensions and depth OR could be heading East to test the dolerite dyke further to the South. Either way it's another decent step-out hole and I guess they wouldn't be doing so if HAD152 / HAD154 weren't giving them some encouragement.

Congrats Max - great to see that people have been able to take the opportunity to build a stake at these levels.

I did the same back in 2018/2019 (albeit at a lower level) and it paid off handsomely - I'm still holding 90% of those through the up's and down's and agree with you that the penny will drop here - every day is a day closer to the ore and production and while people will argue that there are better trading opportunities out there (probably correct) I'm not a trader and am more than happy to watch Shaun & the team bring the vision to fruition.
