Yesterday, I saw a claim that Mr Pierre Oba, the Mining Minister will attend the annual Investing in African Mining Indaba in the next few days (6th to 9th) in Cape Town, South Africa.

If this is true, a meeting with his "friend" Brad would be logical.

FWIW the performance of the FTSE100 index has little to do with the UK economy.

The FTSE100 index contains companies with little or no presence in the UK (e.g. Anto***asta, Fresnillo, Glencore), plus many international companies based in the UK whose earnings are mainly from operations outside the UK (BP, Shell, Rio Tinto, Glencore, Vodaphone, AstraZeneca etc.).

IMHO it is a much larger role for a COO with (I guess) larger financial rewards.

Nobody with a brain would "play games" in such an illiquid share, there is just no money in it (e.g. £50 if a MM buys 100,000 at 0.8p and sells at 0.85p). The price is moving up because there are more buyers than sellers. Most of us holders are happy to wait. I must admit that I am tempted to buy more at this price, but I know that I would not be able to buy many.

IMHO etc.

Harry Callahan was correct about opinions.

ALBI is of the opinion that the Kore team are either stupid or corrupt. This is obviously a risk when investing in small AIM listed miners. I am happy to be invested here because IMHO there is a small probability that ALBI is correct.

I'm not sure what LT means by "normally it'd be negative".

For what its worth. The report is only PFS stage and further work is required to get to DFS. The drilling has concentrated on the most significant part of DX, and therefore the Resources have halved (17.7 Mt down to 9.31 Mt) based on a smaller (12 year) project (stage 1 if you like). Even so the project remains commercial at the assumed US$ 450 price of MOP.

It is a reminder (if needed) that Kola is only a small part of the entire reserves owned by Kore, and there will be scope for additional projects after Kola is up and running.

DX as originally planned was very small in relation to Kola, so it may need the remainder of the site drilled before it becomes of interest.

IMHO Kore would not proceed on any of these other projects unless they can be financed without additional equity, which in turn will depend on the future prospects for MOP prices at the time.

IMHO - it was an empty threat as it would kill investment in this and other projects for years to come.

However, its a winner as a tactic. If the EPC contract is concluded Mr Oba can claim credit for getting the deal done!

Firstly, its strange that this statement (on a French blog) from the Prime Minister does not appear to be replicated in the local press.

Secondly, it is a classic response by a politician to any crisis, e.g. ...

Reporter: What are you going to do about the problem?
Minister: Well we are going to put together a committee to advise us on the best response to the situation.
Reporter: Would you take away their permits?
Minister: Well the committee can consider all options, nothing is off the table.
