The significance of the ORCA deal is that its effectively an option agreement. The partner can walk away from the farm out if government policy makes it less attractive. In the meantime ORCA has the funds it needs.

DrPatience - The end of May date would appear to be linked directly to the date on which Valaris 123 starts its work on the Two-well drill for shell.

Currently Valaris 123 is drilling in the Erskine field for Ithica Energy contracted for 45 days to 72 days. It arrived on 21 April - which suggests a completion date of 6 June to 3 July. It then start work for Shell at Selene and Pensacola (estimated 154 days total).

The contract schedule for Valaris 123 is from the Valaris website (Fleet Status report 15 Feb 2024).

BTW - Directors always have better information than we do (e.g. here they have seen the draft contract and the new NPV / financial plans etc.) this is clearly inside information, but its not considered to be a legal problem.

KP2 have told everyone the deal will be done by the end of June - Hathorn buying significant numbers of shares says he is confident that this will happen.

IMHO - Directors are the ultimate insiders - they know what is happening and spending significant real money buying shares is a better signal than any rumour. Hathorn, converting his loan on 14 May signalled the current move.

FWIH - I am expecting the financing to happen faster than scheduled as the Chinese will take any off-take they can get from Kore. They are buyers of Potash anyway and will want to diversify away from Canpotex and the Belorusians.

So, they are going to accelerate their strategy - except at Woodsmith where they will slow down the development.

This translates as concentrating on the things that will make money (e.g. Copper).

Emmerson plans to use grey water. But if Grey water is not available, it would be a waste of energy to use desalinated water for Potash.

The Morocco plan to provide sufficient fresh water is 1) In coastal areas to add extra fresh water from desalination. 2) Inland to add water from underground aquifers. In some of the larger inland population areas to underground aquifers are already being depleted faster than they are replenished. - Here, alternative solutions will need to be found (e.g. piping from the coast).

What meeting ?

Audible - OCP's interest in Potash is so they can produce a combined ( N P K ) fertilizer product, and essentially sell their Phosphates for a premium price.

Audible - OCP main business is Phosphates (not Potash). You should look into how Phosphates are processed to see if desalinated water is relevant.

Not sure why Emerson would need desalination. They might need to use sea water (in place of grey water), but no need to remove the salt first.

IMHO - At some point there will be an RNS reporting a deal with OCP.

EML will need DAP (Diammonium Phosphate) as an input to the KMP processs.

OCP will need to use the KMP process at its own mine in Khemisset (which is rumoured to have higher % of Carnallite) or have EML do the processing.
