Yep, like clockwork some mad volume this afternoon, a large uncrossing trade and some big buys after the bell. Another failed tree shake this morning together with the one yesterday and we are all led to believe that nothing is going on here ??

If that's the case then GS will allow the stock to head above £1.00 next week and for consideration to re-enter the FTSE at the initial review on 2nd December.

I somehow doubt it !

This time last week, we had a reversal from 96p down to close at 91p before the weekend.

Lets see what GS have up their sleeve today after their failed tree shake yesterday lunchtime !

And GS release another disposal of shares RNS at 12:00pm ! Its laughable how they are trying to mix things up here but hey that's fine by me, I can see right through it !

It was December some three or four years ago if I remember, that there was yet another change in their holdings of ITV on 1st December that year but they issued an RNS some three weeks later around 23rd December.

I'm expecting more of the same next month !

Looks like GS are celebrating early and are happily giving away ITV shares this morning .

Fine by me, just topped up for the umpteenth time !

Rock8, do you have a link by any chance ? I've been searching around and apart from my previous link back to 2006, I can't find any mention of Brandes latest shareholding.

My hunch here is that GS have moved stock via Brandes.

Whilst keeping an eye on the ITV price on Friday and as expected a nice bit of shafting by GS to all their clients after issuing yet another buy recommendation on Monday, I had another look at the FT largest shareholder list again to garner more clues for the next few weeks ahead.

Its the first time that I can recall that Brandes Investment Partners has been listed as one of the largest shareholders of ITV shares with a holding of just over 157m shares would you believe !

I don't recall any RNS of the aforementioned purchase(no surprise there !) but I went on a search for any info and once again it led me back to the events of 2006.

And for the record, I just found out that Brandes main office is based in Delaware, a nice tax-haven for all off-shore and hedge funds. In the meantime have a quick read of this from 2006:-

Nice, just checked my account and got a fill at 91.5p. That's the highest I've paid for ITV shares since last August when the stock went on a run from just over a pound up to around £1.50 over Christmas last year before GS shorted the crap out of it again down to 50p in March, helped with the Covid news.

My post of 13th November was how the day panned out today, no huge selling just orders being churned through the order book as has been the case for the last week or so now.

I wonder if we'll see some news at the weekend ??

ITV has had a cracking run from those 58p days back in August courtesy of GS and here we are now running into a bit of profit taking from 98p touched yesterday, that's a good 70% give or take.

I'm looking for a top this afternoon on any further significant weakness and ahead of the weekend if the market wants to oblige !
