Roll on the morning !

As I suspected, Ant & Dec had their biggest TV audience ever last night and whilst the programme editors only had a couple of days to improvise with regards to a live studio audience, I think next weeks last and pre-recorded show will pull just as big a tv audience as there is a bit more time for its preparation.

We all know TV advertising is going to be hit hard but as I said before and sorry for the pun but in these uncertain times, it will pay to think outside of the box !!

On March 20, 2020, the FDA issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) to authorize the emergency use the Primerdesign Ltd.’s Primerdesign Ltd COVID-19 genesig Real-Time PCR assay for the qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid in oropharyngeal swab specimens from patients suspected of COVID-19 by their healthcare provider, pursuant to Section 564 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the Act) (21 U.S.C. §360bbb-3). The Primerdesign Ltd COVID-19 genesig Real-Time PCR assay is for use only under EUA in laboratories certified under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA), 42 U.S.C. §263a, to perform high complexity tests.

Through gritted teeth, they have finally relented. If only they pulled their heads out from their backsides a few weeks ago they would have been better prepared to deal with this crisis. But oh no , 'we are the USA !!'.

Ant & Dec show tomorrow will be largely interactive with an on-line audience so with most of the nation sat at home in front of their tellys tomorrow the show could see its biggest ever viewing figures.

Okay not much to advertise as the whole nation shuts down but hopefully ITV will have scratched their heads and will offer the viewing public shows that can deliver a 'feelgood' factor for the next couple of months.

I have a suggestion, what a big blockbuster movie on a Saturday night at 9:00pm with adverts before the film and after and none in between ??

If you have a look at todays chart, you'll see the 'collar' trade in play, base 57p and peak 61p. The stock will probably stay in that trading range all day today by the looks of what the Algobots have been programmed to do regardless of what the market does today.

Ok, here's a list of the cancelled shows on ITV so far. There maybe an RNS in the morning and in these uncertain times I think it would be a good idea for ITV to roll out the Britbox as a free subscription again until say the Autumn. If anyone has it already they won't get charged :-

I bailed out at the beginning of the year around the £1.50 level and to see it at this level this morning I thought I dip my toe back in albeit rather gingerly.

Could there be yet more downside, probably as most of ITV's big blockbuster programmes here in the UK and distributed all over the world are live audience based and with Love Island also now at risk and The Euros and all the other sporting events at risk in the short term, there's going to be a huge hit on the advertising front as well.

But we've been here be in 2008/09 under the leadership of Messrs Norman and Crozier but this time around ITV is a different company altogether since then.

Lets face it, we are into unchartered waters and there is no dealing skill here, its a punt but for the price to lose around 60% since its last years high only recently in December, the balance of probability I think at least favours a short term bounce.

What the man on the street fails to realise is every year all countries around the world are using the previous years flu virus vaccine, it happens every year as that particular strain of flu is identified after a few months and treated accordingly but the strain comes back year after year in a new guise as well as being much stronger and much deadlier.

So yet another flu vaccine has to be developed and this goes on and on year after year, the world is always a year behind playing catch up.

This Coronavirus may come back next year even stronger and even deadlier that's when we should all be stocking up on toilet rolls !!!!

Yep, explains the panic buying of all the loo rolls at the weekend !!!

Carnage tomorrow, may look at the screens through my black and white monitor in the morning , just need to get out down from the loft !

Mate, some seriously intelligent and informative posts ,nice one.

I said on here a couple of weeks back that the reason why the FDA are deliberating on this is because they are hoping to rush in some sort of treatment from one of their own behind the scenes and not to endorse the 2 hour test kit form a small AIM listed company that no-one has ever heard of until now and whom stand to make shedloads !!

PrimerDesign has already trading relationships with GSK, Pfizer, CDC et al. so expect more good news in the next coming week or so, see the base of the website :-
