Thanks Tony. Very interesting read. I think we’re too small for one of the big boys but a medium size player might be very interested in us.
Are Barclays currently in buy-back? They should be hoovering up at these levels.
Ummm, not sure the market will be over the moon with a few ‘nasties’ in there.
GGG sounds like someone who has finally had enough and sold most of his shares to invest elsewhere and is venting his frustration.
I hope your timing isn’t all wrong old fella. I’m holding as I believe this will jump up soon.
Nice report.
I think oil should continue to go up next week which will bode well for our share price.
Keeping the faith.
If the rumour was purely false, malicious and a misrepresentation aimed at pump and dupe, the Co would have issued a “not aware” RNS particularly with the newspaper coverage which gives it a cloak of respectability. My guess is they are in talks with one or two parties and have decided not to make an early statement just yet until more traction is gained.
They would have issued a “not aware” RNS if nothing to these rumours.
Maybe the seller is finally spent. I hope so as it would be nice to see steady progress back to £1
People keep going on about a big seller but I can’t see anything too alarming on trades reported.
I’ve just bought £20k of shares on back of todays calming news.
If I want my Divi in Sterling do I just fill out a form and can I do it online?
Something smells dodgy here. Are accounting irregularities about to break?
Someone knows something.
Post on Advfn from XK worthy of note and comment.
“Within the Capital Reduction RNS there’s a statement;
“It should however be noted that if the Company is required to give undertakings to the High Court, this may delay the Company's ability to pay dividends and otherwise return value to Shareholders…”
Anyone think this is a concern?
It may be that the way this is going is that the court will approve the application but insist on undertakings to protect the creditors which may stifle dividends by keeping cash in the company up to certain thresholds and conditions. I’m sure a balance will be struck by the judge between creditors and shareholders but he/she may err on the side of caution for such a small newish company.
If a creditor is making waves within the application this may explain the delay in getting a hearing date. Didn’t they originally say end of Aug?
No deramp intended…”
With no news due and oil slipping there is bound to be pressure on share price for a week or two. Can see 12’s again. :-(
I notice Obsidian Energy has recently announced it’s concentrating on the very productive Walrus area of Clearwater where we also have some land. It was mentioned in last update with Cadotte. I seem to recall i3 were waiting to see what results neighbouring operators had before taking the plunge. Now could be a good time to develop.
Any views welcome.
The A20
I thought Tain was imminent
“The project is currently in the announced stage and is expected to start operations in 2023…”
If they do start maybe they’ll take our asset out to have a broader reach.
Also does anyone think our North Sea asset is saleable and if so who might be interested in it?
I’m thinking about consolidation, acquisitions and even take-overs and wondering whether an offer could be made for just one of our operations rather than the whole lot and if so whether the board would entertain this? I know Clearwater is clearly hot at the moment but then again so is Simonette and Wapiti. It would give us cash to ramp up development of those retained or maybe even buy more land in an area we want to focus on.
Hi Tony
Are you talking about a possible acquisition? I would have thought strategy was more aligned to that when oil prices are depressed. It’s now probably a sellers market.
If I’m right aren’t we more likely to be subject to a take-over bid?
I decided to take the plunge after 4pm today. Bought over £100k in £9k tranches. Seems great value with dividend. I may grab a few more tomorrow.
Circa 26p for a buy out sounds right.
