Yep. Gordon Brown selling most of gold reserves all those years ago at record low prices must win the all time stupidity award.
Maybe you’re right but I like the look of them in any event so have bought a few.
Anyone agree that this might be a good acquisition for I3? They recently had their incredibly exciting gas exploration licence extended off the west coast of Ireland and also have acquired an interesting block off West Africa.
They’re obviously also already our North Sea partner and have producing assets as well.
I see WCSBCanuck is still talking in riddles as he does a deramping jig down high street.
You have to love the Irish!
Badjob
Venkat has stated that shareholders are a priority and a strategic announcement will be made Feb time. Let’s see if he’s a man of his word.
Nice to see dividend confirmed today. They are obviously still ticking over nicely.
Would be great if we could buddy up with a bigger player to start drilling more pure oil plays in Clearwater and our large Mid Alberta asset.
It also crossed my mind that the ESG Report could be a bit of timely window dressing for a take-over or acquisition.
Aviva also needs to be careful about associating itself with a brand that has been well and truly tarnished since the founders used it as a vessel to fraudulently enrich themselves.
As someone said black lives do matter but so do the disabled and many other disadvantaged groups who have been somewhat elbowed out the way by the group who screams loudest for more and more handouts and leg ups. It’s become it’s own weird industry where self reliance and lifting yourselves up by your own boot straps have become secondary. Let’s us not allow that culture to flourish as problems will just get worse. Look at the US for crying out loud.

I also noticed that jumping around action in last 15 mins. Nice big buy reported after hours.
Somethings up!!
I think Majid maybe tempted to sell the Canadian assets for circa 19p and somehow hive off the North Sea into a separate venture which Majid should develop. I tend to think that is where his heart is.
Vivas - Where was that announced?
Vivas - where is that from?
Someone posted the following on Advfn regarding an email they had received from Research Tree which said
“Last week we attended a site visit to i3’s assets in central Alberta in Canada – the company’s largest producing area. We were left with a favourable impression of the magnitude of the company’s operations in the region, of the professional operational running of these, and of the overall level of opportunity in this well-established oil and gas province…”
The full report has a subscription fee which I haven’t yet accessed and couldn’t post on here in any event but I understand from other sources it’s very upbeat and positive. I believe it’s only a question a time before we get a material cash offer for this much sought after asset.
Hi Bottomsup
My brain is a bit befuddled this morning. Are we expecting an ex-dividend date around mid-Jan with payment made end of month?
Those figures you quote aren’t breakeven pricing.

i hope you haven’t spunked all your inheritance up the wall like that ******** brother of yours!!!
I just hope to god it’s limited to cheese & wine and they don’t extend it to king prawn pancakes I recently had at a similar event in Mayfair. Yep..I’m still scarred.
i honestly would have preferred bread and jam and nice cuppa tea. the ****e these catering firms sometimes serve up makes me want to gag. they should have a separate table where guests who’ve brought their packaged lunch can sit.
I was invited to a jolly in Mayfair recently and although the venue was impressive the food was awful. They had for example something called a king prawn pancake. No discernible king prawn in sight just this squashed fishy tasting creation that I left. The rest of the meal was also a project in making expensive sounding ingredients into cheap and nasty offerings. I know times are hard but jeepers give us a break.
I hope Majid gets different catering at his event.
