Why would anyone think Borrelli would have even a scintilla of competency to progress this project when he could even sift a pile of Zambian dirt over several years with millions of shareholder funds.

Suzy, unlike llbj, I am very much invested here. But there is something in what he says that maybe an element of wishful thinking affects our thought processes on getting this over the line.
Yes there is increasing pressure on Baylan et al to sign this off, and I'm sure we would all love that to happen next week.
But on the reverse side, Baylan and his coterie have shown themselves to be very thick skinned and obstinate in their dealings with BEM and it is not beyond the realms of possibility that they will once once shrug their beaurocratic shoulders and yet again give the can a punt down the road.
Like all genuine holders, I for one, really hope for the former and not the latter,but my rose tinted spectacles remain firmly under wraps.
