the batsman's holding, the bowler's willie.
must admit i regret a couple of my own recent posts on here for having a pop at people. it's not good. we're supposed to be sharing views on cey to the upside or down to see what others invested or interested in this company think about them. instead we seem to be sniping at one another more and more. i am irritated by cowichan's constant negativity, some of it is questionable, some has real merit. he definitely isn't tibbs. i don't mind mizol/bond being the same person. i may be accused of wearing rose tinted glasses but i believe the current management is as honest as any management of a billion dollar mining company can fairly be expected to be. i will continue trading and holding this stock for the long term. the company is well run in my view, egypt on the other hand...that is a worry.
anyway, from now on, i'm going to try harder not to **** people off or get offensive just because i disagree with their position. gla
Cowichan-Pangloss - so they should have ignored a pit wall in danger of collapse and bought some other mine somewhere else - seriously? Horgan and his team have done a fantastic job turning the Sukari mine in reality into what Pardey and crew were pretending it was.
So not much growth no, but SGM is fundamentally sound in a way it simply wasn't in years past.
AHA! Mr Ray O'Sunshine is back! With the GP pushing 2200 and Cey over the £1 mark I did wonder how gnashing must be your teeths? Hahaha.
Having said that you do raise a bloomin good point. Suddenly Doropo is no longer progressing to FID. That is not good news.
Hi Paul - just to mention final results for 2023 will be a repeat of the numbers released in January - 450,058oz produced, revenue $892m at AISC of $1220. They will announce the dividend though and I'll be listening out for any update on the discovery at Little Sukari - which might be the tip of a gigantic new orebody. Or not.
Then its on to Q1 2024 results on April 18 which will include sales to March 31 with new numbers for production oz, sales and AISC. Current record highs in the GP will contribute to these figures so let's hope they're stellar. GLA
Hold on to your hats, I think she's gonna blow!
Gold bugs theory - retail investors are selling goldminers and Gold ETF to buy bitcoin. Central banks are buying physical gold - hence the lag between GP and miners. Neat theory huh? Wonder if its true
CAIRO, March 6 (Reuters) - Egypt's central bank said on Wednesday it had hiked interest rates by 600 basis points at an unscheduled meeting and would let the pound trade freely in an apparent move to restore economic stability with the help of Gulf investment inflows.

On the original Q I wouldn't expect a divi of more than 2.5c, they're storing up as much cash as poss to develop Doropo which as Ray O'Sunshine (Cowichan) points out is now going to be waaaayyy north of the original 275m like about 500m.
Anyway don't want to bring us down - SP 101 and looking good.
Hi all. Nvidia is currently valued at more than GDP of Canada. This seems a little optimistic. I hope PHNX will turn round but think it is the collapse in the price of the bonds it holds that is causing the current weakness? Anyone else got a view?
Lots of talking heads on youtube predicting an imminent breakout in the GP to 2500. Wouldn't it be nice if they were right.
Here's one of them at 17:21

I like David Lin he gets interesting guests and asks good Qs
I think it's the parlous state of the Egyptian economy that's holding this share back - Cey has got stellar numbers and prospects otherwise. I'm fully in at the minute and wishing a bit that I'd sold out at 103. ho hum GLA.
