HK following NASDAQ with reduction of short interest, been a while but around 18% drop between 1st - 8th Sept reports

The de-stocking relates to THG's manufacturing customers, hence JP Morgan referred to industry wide and not THG specific.

JP Morgan commented a their note de-stocking was industry wide, not just THG Beauty. Perhaps the analysts are finally starting to see the potential of what Ingenuity team set out to create.

· THG Beauty adjusted EBITDA of £10.6m (H1 2022: £17.7m), impacted by one-off industry de-stocking in manufacturing. Excluding manufacturing THG Beauty adjusted EBITDA was £9.7m (H1 2022: £7.3m). Encouragingly, since the start of August, the Beauty division has returned to growth.

Just figured out what happened, it went into extended auction adding another 5 minutes to the UT trade hence 16.40 UT

There must have put a lump on to buy outside of daily trading range triggering extension.

Never seen that before whole bunch of AT trades after the bell, bit of size too at least for HCM

The time frame for the final FCA review is diminishing fast, to my knowledge there were several objections around implementation but I doubt enough to hold up proceedings.

This weeks IPO of ARM and subsequent 25% rise is nothing short of humiliating for UK Plc, government cannot afford to let the slide continue, loss of tax receipts, stamp duty - how much would ARM have generated for London ?

Have Kelso spent that extra dosh they raised ?

We know pretty much all the US institutions that hold take little notice of spikes, be it bids or otherwise (see graph below). I would be surprised if any of the long term funds have sold as todays results are in line as per previous guidance.

Ingenuity is always going to be front loaded when onboarding new clients, the physical process is labour intensive for sure, filling a warehouse, bots and so on - check back, but Beauty when purchased took 12-18months to onboard, that all needs funding up front.

Strange comment from Kelso on Premium listing, surely they are aware of the current proposal to merge both Standard and Premium, there will be no Premium category.

Current proposal in online awaiting further feedback.

Surely they are punishing themselves, selling stock at a loss, or worse still borrowing stock and then selling that at a loss?

It makes no sense to sell something for less than its worth ..

First time since May short interest on ADR's has dropped under 1m shares, not huge but then again the volume across the pond has been small also, yesterday for example just 67k of shares.

In real terms that's probably close to 2 months trading even though NASDAQ site quotes 12 days.

THG, the Manchester-based digital commerce giant, has posted EBITDA above the top end of guidance in the first half of the year.

Purina (Nestle) mentioned earlier, huge market, Pets at Home one example but there are many others.

It happens every time, investors over egg the cake then openly express how nervous they are on a public form, market makers, prop traders have it handed to them on a plate.

I put myself in their shoes, no matter what the results said this morning I would have pulled the rug anyway..

'All in all, THG results not too bad. The SP fall is a surprise given the results were what THG said they were going to be. We're we all just expecting it was time a rabbit was pulled out of the hat?'
