Not entirely convinced this is out of the woods yet, tested the 20ma Friday but closed on the 12ma which continues to offer resistance to the breakout of the channel. However a good day tomorrow will see it over the hump.

I am finding it hard to imagine any scenario other than Fed pandering that will stop this testing
that vital 23,500 level again this week the significance of the 23.5/24 level was important from February onwards as it followed the ma12 up on to that double top spike.

In the last 3 months the 23.5/24 level has become important as the 20ma was catching it up and close Friday within 11pts.

So the first important historical res is gone and the second is threatened. Coming down with this months momentum behind it will almost certainly result in strike 1 through the 20 then eventually back to 12 which starts rolling over and becomes a downward oblique resistance.

At some point the price comes back to retest the 12, probably some US/Ch trade 'deal' which will be even less relevant by then and late spring over she goes back to max 20k within a year and possibly sub 16k

Needs a sustained strong bounce off the 20ma to halt a further slide but I don't think for a moment this is a 2015/16 scenario.

The Fed is stuck in the ridiculous position of being pressured to reduce interest rate rises to keep the bubble going thus giving it zero ammo to cut when growth really starts slowing. Of course they could just print more money again

The thing is the trade disputes are irrelevant, might give an increasingly cynical market one last pump of daft money, allow the institutions to offload more long positions on retail punters but it's a sideshow, it's credit over extension and unserviceable debt, as before, that will bring the house of cards down.
