I am in the same fortunate position as Max since the beginning of the year, but I know what you are saying. After 7 years my patience would have run out too, but I hoped the circumstances and timing were going to augur somewhat better over the next year or two. Whilst not mentioning any specific companies, today HL commented that precious metal miners and processors were going to be in favour by 2022 as you can't 'vanish' assets in the ground whereas many trading companies in other sectors have no tangible assets, only services.
I remain committed here although I realise it will take some time for POG's bad image to recover.

WATTY - as soon as EUA complete the formal sale process, the many newly created EUA millionaires (former shareholders) are just waiting to reinvest somewhere and GGP seems to have been mentioned a few times over there. I got in here ahead of the rush but things could get very interesting here quite soon.

First post on here just to introduce myself although I have been observing OMI for some time.
I have been seriously overweight with EUA for over a year now - sleepless nights there!!!
There are some BIG buys over there now - so, in anticipation of my pay day, I have just bought 25,000 here to get a head start as I'm not sure when the Formal Sale Process will conclude over there but when it does, a huge amount of cash will free up. . . . where is it going to go??
My personal favourites are OMI, THOR and GGP, maybe even POG if they could stop shooting themselves in the foot.
It always pays to keep researching though.

ROB -WOW! You might feel as though you have just had a very mild admonishment from Ian, but we can all tell you that for Ian they are very strong words indeed, and you should feel as though you have been verbally hung drawn and quartered, as should your sense of humour.

It does seem like same old same old. Many companies have some self inflicted grief at some time or other but I am not too downbeat about it and at some point the POG FOG will begin to clear and investors will regard us with increasing favour as governance improves, debt reduces and the value of in the ground 'tangible' assets is appreciated more for its ability to be converted into revenue - by stark contrast to the many service industries that struggling.
Keep calm - keep invested.

Tweenie - I could not agree with you more.
expru - don't fret, but these shares coming to the market were known about and therefore buys/sells were being made by investors as they felt appropriate. In fact it was seen as a 'positive'.

This is hardly surprising considering the generally unstable corporate governance of the past as perceived by PI's but particularly by II's.
BUT is it not the case that POG is just large enough that there will soon be a time when II's believe they can no longer shun POG for fear of missing out here. Only needs an upgrade from somewhere.

Things are looking up - since read a note that interim CEO to be permanent.
Also, JC "our next step is to create robust, transparent and effective corporate governance in future to command the trust and support of all stakeholders". That will be a first!
And they approach UBS to help with that. . . . . would this be the same UBS that are helping EUA to do the deal of the century? ? Makes you think ;-)

DTG - busy here again - yawn.
At least we have an auditor now which is a start and thankfully it isn't Dolittles. . . . being associated with a whiff of corporate fraud is not what POG want right now.
Having said that, we will probably be waiting for some time for the investigation to be completed into the alleged 'misappropriations'. I doubt any public announcement would be made anyway other than perhaps some disclosure in next years accounts perhaps. It will be closing the stable door after the horse has bolted unless there is any claim against the former director(s). Either way it will be a hindrance out of the way and improve the appeal of POG to more investors as in other respects it should be doing better for investors than at present.
At my £cost/share level, I can see me holding for quite some time.

Please be assured that we are still all here BUT only occasionally have something worthwhile to ask or contribute and therefore tend to observe more rather than post.
Based upon what's in the public domain, I am pretty relaxed to allow this one to progress in its own time. Therefore I am holding and would add if it wasn't breaking into my safety cushion.

ITS. . . . Not answering your question but,
there has also been some ongoing investigation into the huge sums of clients CASH held by brokers and the millions £'s which the brokers have been receiving in interest earned. That's why 'earthling' says "the likes of H&L are going bust" :-)
It should go to the client but only if it is held in an appropriate account.
Personally, I only add cash when ready to buy but otherwise I take it out.

Even worse, the guys from BOO HOO say they have and instant test/result they are bringing to the market..... presumably that will be in the Autumn sales! Whatever next?!

The phrase rudderless ship/get a grip sprang to mind but in fact they went in with an iron fist in a fashion unheard of in civilised circles - possibly what was needed in the circumstances although such behaviour gives investors the jitters.
The unresearched are easily spooked - but at least there are four of us here who are content for now and will be pleased once the situation is regularised. . . . I guess that it is easy to expect too much too soon.
Of one thing I am sure though - we will never make it onto the list of LSE 'shares with the most posts in the last week'!
