Montmuzzard,
Thanks for your thoughts on this. I wasn't so much thinking of the effect on SP but more the perception of the wider world until the dust settled.
I am like you, hoping for a sale of all assets (not shares as those could form the basis of EUA 2 going forward)
Plus ideally a mix of cash and dividend AND preferential option on shares in EUA 2 for existing holders.
You know I am not greedy ! !
Casper,
Thank you for your reply - appreciated.
OK - standing by with great interest on this. I am just guessing there will be a crossover point where it becomes more beneficial to sell and pay the CGT than to take the dividend. I take your point about IFA's but these are the 'specialists' that sold us endowments, PPI and the like. With respect, I doubt any would be willing to advise or even guess within the potentially very short time scale that we are looking at here. Be interested to see what you come up with.
Despite the long tortuous road we have all travelled over the last two years, a part of me still wants to remain invested if there is that option and therefore I might stick with the dividend or maybe sell part and take dividend on the other part to hedge my bets whilst making sure the dividend part doesn't take me into the higher tax bracket.
I guess a mass sell off by everyone to crystalize the CGT wouldn't be good anyway and the BOD may have yet another plan to keep us at least partly invested. Yet more wait and see!

Oldspurs/Casper - Good points and of some concern to most of us I think.
Selling before record date or taking the dividend on shares outside the ISA is a difficult choice/question to make and depends upon how many shares outside the ISA and also what the dividend will be.
Someone on here could probably (and relatively easily) produce a graph with number of shares on one axis and income/capital gains taxes on the other axis (for a basic rate taxpayer with standard allowances) for different dividend levels. Not by me though! Any offers from tech wizard?
"may be there will be a 'special dividend' then for those who rode the suspension then, and a 'dividend' for those who came in later on! I'll wait for the further vitriol! :)"
Didn't take long! I can't face reading any more senseless nonsense like the above as it seems to be getting worse. . . into the compost bin.
That update was short and very sweet and explains why it has reacted in advance of the announcement. . . some get to know before others. There are some astute directors here too so bodes well and the dividend might go up a little too which would be the icing.
I was in Redde at a good price before 2020 so my resulting slice of the merger pie was a bit reduced but looking healthy now.
Good to see some other holders here at last.
Redde and Northgate came together for synergy, critical mass and improved coverage (possibly also to avoid another predator and I was expecting the SP to creep up some but this has exceeded my expectations.
Has anyone got any information that I am not aware of that might cause this rise?
Coincidence full year results announced same day !
Never seen it so busy on here today!
Court 17th May. But isn't it rather like spilt milk - and it could take many months at some cost.
How would it reflect on the current POG board if the old crew was found guilty - justified maybe?
But if not guilty, then the current BOD might not look any better. My opinion - it will probably go in favour of the current BOD. Either/or, at least it will be another obstacle and diversion out of the way so that will be progress of a sort.
Still happy to hold either way actually.
Year2020 - think you may be right about a curved ball. I have convinced myself that this EGM could be something of a 'non-event' so that I am not going to be disappointed.
But never mind, Kira will soon be along with tea and sympathy, like a vicar trying to stop an orgy in full swing whilst spouting clips of other peoples research like it was her own.
Spare us the condescending mumsy remarks - we don't need them, we've lost a lot, made a lot more and we'll all made of a lot sterner stuff.

Well said! ! !!
And as an aside, I have to personally thank Anders for helping me buy a few more at the end of Friday although I didn't know why at the time.
I have kept a little powder dry in case EUA BOD come calling after next week.
Good weekend all.

Max13 - That fully sums up my view . At the moment we are the Stig of the dump but gradually this image will wear off and be forgotten. Then as our popularity and price improves, the few of us currently here will remember why we were here in the first place - to catch it whilst the price was way down in the doldrums. I guess patience is always in short supply but our assets aren't and the naysayers will be back here someday by which time we will be quite nicely ahead thankyou. The more I search and read, the happier I am. Wake me up after 2 years accounts and I will be pleasantly surprised.

Get back over the Tamar into Cornwall. . . we'll soon be onto the never ending wars of jam or cream first on the scones. Often every girl in the village has been 'popped' by the same farm hand so they are all related to the same cuckoo father! Not you lovelyboy?!

This is what I did on the HL secure message once in the account...
