Yes, you can only hope that this is the way they've decided to move forward with the spinouts. Notification only after the event. Too many traders bought in to get the free Poolbeg shares and then sold orph immediately after. Keeping a spinout quiet until the deal is done rewards us long term holders and perhaps creates some fomo buying. I'm pretty sure CF wouldn't have been happy the way day traders were "rewarded" with Poolbeg. The same traders will doubtless be selling those free shares in April too. Why reward that sort of "loyalty"?
Yup. I share your frustration around the fools like him. Would be great if it was a place just for proper info like Wally's really helpful posts.
Hey ho, we can't have everything I suppose.
All the best.
Better to just ignore or block him Afc. He has nothing useful to add to any conversation.
Morning SR84. Sounds like you and I are in the same position (deep under water?). You say you have no faith in CF but what choice do we have? Crystalise our losses and sell up?
Well, I'm not ready to do that so... we have to hold our breath, cross our fingers and hope CF comes good (even on half his intentions). I tried moaning before too. It didnt lift the SP and didn't help my mood either.
As I said a couple of days ago, hopefully they've started talking to investors again only because they have something good coming our way soon.
Even if they don't what can we do? It looks like you and I are here for the long haul.
all the best... moz.
Well, all I can say at the moment is there was a heck of a lot of "...wait and see..." in the presentation.
My problem with that is we've already been waiting for last years promises a very long time.
Hopefully the reason they've now broken radio silence is because they finally have something concrete coming up... fingers crossed.
Oh I dunno... everything has its price.
I think there are better ways to spend the cash though.
Yup, this was no surprise. It's still good to know that Mo will buy in when the rules allow him to though.
I really REALLY do hope that "surprise and delight" doesn't end up getting filed alongside "blow the doors off", "pleasant surprise" and "3 spin out and a divvi by christmas".
If "surprise and delight" turns into more "boredom and frustration" then CF will be left with zero credibility whatsoever.
Let's wait and see. It's a long road back for me to take him just on his word alone.
Partly the macros - the risk is definitely off at the moment . Partly dis-interest after CF didn't come up with half of what he said he would... ("blowing the doors off", pleasant surprise", three spin offs and a divvi by xmas", "NASDAQ on the cards").
Hardly surprising it's tanked to be honest.
But anyone who can put all that aside can see that there's a profit making company underneath with good prospects going forward (without any need for it to be hyped up).
This will come good eventually just on a much longer time scale than we were sold.
"Nothing price sensitive - just reassurance..."
So basically more fodder for the rampers. He'll have said nothing more than what he's going to say tomorrow. There's nothing special about the Telegram group at all... except they boot people who criticise OO repeatedly then bask on the sunny uplands of their one sided view. Doubtless there's still some there saying SP will be 50p by Wednesday morning "...coz CF spoke, innit!"
Hi NST. I also haven't sold a single share and have been topping up (and averaging down) in recent weeks. I'm still well underwater but the fundamentals here have actually improved since I first bought in. I'm happy to wait for this to grow. At least CF seems to have learned a valuable lesson... although I'm worried he'll get back to his old tricks on Tuesday. We will see.
Thanks Cheshirewager. You gave me a smile at least. I left the telegram group because of the persistent ramping. By the sounds of your post things haven't changed at all.
Hopefully this will come good at some point but it won't do it solely on the word of CF any longer. Fingers crossed for some good results this year and additional contracts. GLA
Can only be a distressed seller surely? Plenty of those who speak with a Russian accent right now I'd assume.
Anyway, thats going to take some mopping up.
Ash will be gutted when this goes north of 20p again because he sold most of his shares (apparently) though why not sell all of his shares I cant imagine? He see's nothing positive here so why hold any? Still if idiots made any sense then they wouldn't be idiots I suppose.
I agree Rus. It's just making a long game that little bit longer.
Are you forced to click on them Mr D.?
We're entering a bad time for the markets as a whole. Nothing about Orphans fundamentals has changed except for positive news again and again.
I expect the SP to go lower still along with the rest of the market but if you're a long term holder then why does that matter? Selling now only crystalises your losses. Im holding and may well buy more between now and the summer.
We're fully booked and profitable. What's changed since any of us bought in? Nothing except the SP. You believed in the business then... you must surely still believe in the business now? If not then give your head a wobble.
I'm on the same page DesertStar. Every time the spin outs are mentioned I hear echos of CF in my head "...3 spinoffs and a possible cadh dividend by Christmas..." Many of us bought large on such statements too.
I'm still happy that I'm here and still expect OO to achieve some good results this year and next but it still smarts to think about how CF led investors up the gardennpath last year.
If the price is right then of course it's still for sale.
Price goes up and... tumbleweed.
Price goes down and my page is full of green boxes.
Must mean the idiot that sold (because OO is so bad) but didn't sell them all (because... well, who knows) is trolling again.
