Yup, 1billion and CF also said three more spinoffs and a cash dividend before Christmas. How much credibility does he have now compared to just a couple of weeks ago? How much will he have by Christmas?
Another way of saying the sp has been built on hot air and promises. Share prices don't fall on zero news if the fundamentals are there. The latest financials showed that Orph isnt quite there yet. CF now needs to provide the goods, not more pleasant sounding words.
THere may well be checks being done on the govt contracts but to use that as evidence for the complete radio silence from CF and Investor Relations is tantamount to saying that Orph is a one trick pony. There is always news to release and even if there weren't there's no shortage of investors ready to tune in to an impromptu CF webinar. The fact is CF has messed up with his timelines and has left investors hanging.
"As for everyone else who had a pop at me, I have not / am not on an anti CF crusade and haven't sold a single share. All I and others were doing was countering those who only see (or post) one side of it. Don't make assumptions and don't sulk 'cos you were challenged in the past. GLA." You're not the only one EA. I see I'm worthy of being blocked for merely pointing out how CF's timescales are more often wrong than not. Hey ho, there are none so blind as those that will not see. Blind investing? Their loss.
Very well put Demon_G. Some others on here need to take better notice of the line, "...challenge if and when required". This is one of those challenges. Having been told there'd be news before now, once again its disappointing to watch the SP slowly falling on zero news. Hopefully CF will learn to temper his enthusiasm, (along with some of his fanboys on here).
I think a few on here need to start recognising that CF has some faults that's all. Promising the undeliverable earth is probably in his Irish personality? As for Earaches 5million target ... that's his opinion and he has a right to it. I notice nobody else is daring to put a number on it. Well from my point of view if he can buy 3% of UKSPAC "by accident" then he needs to be throwing quite a bit at Orph to prove his confidence going forward. A six figure sum at least in my book. It would also be reassuring to see the other senior team members buying more. Orph isn't a one man band after all.
Hi Fish, maybe the plan was to give the tree a good shake and get rid of holders like Invesco? Ultimately it doesnt really matter when the cut off date is though does it? I dont know. I'm new to this spinoff m'larky.
RE: Cathal's slice of the Poolbeg pie15 Jun 2021 07:08
Your maths is correct Padrock. It's your argument that holds no water. Nobody is denying that CF is getting a bigger slice. Everybody else is saying he deserves it. And just to try and get ahead of you... he'll also deserve a bigger slice of the other spinoffs later in the year. Now, can you find another drum to bang on please?
I think you're spot on Shandypants. Yes CF is a fantastic boss but at the end of the day he, and the rest of the board who may also what to buy some more, are in this to make money and get rich. He didnt get where he is by buying high and selling low. And on that note... if theres no further news until late June then the sp is going to test 30p they way things are going. Not that I mindthat at all. I'll be topping up again around the end of the 3rd week of June.
RE: Over promised and under delivered.03 Jun 2021 12:06
I hope nobody doubts CFs business acumen. I know I don't but the constant "jam tomorrow" whenever he gives a presentation is wearing a bit thin. Obviously he needs to drum up interest in the company's future but his timelines need to be taken with a large pinch of salt. I just wish sometimes he would simply say "short, medium or long term" and leave it at that.

What happened to "one or maybe two spinoffs in May"? What happened to the financials "just after Easter"? There's a theme here that's been evident for over a year now and anyone seriously expecting "4 spinoffs and a cash dividend by Christmas"... well I've a bridge to sell you. Yes, there's plenty happening in the pipeline but I wish CF would just stop putting unachievable timelines on everything.
