If you would like to ask our webinar guest speakers from WS Blue Whale Growth Fund, Taseko Mines, Kavango Resources and CQS Natural Resources fund a question please submit them here.
Wish we had a tier 1 mine to sell.
Orthern is right: there is no need for secrecy here. Company haven't responded to requests for information about the meaning of 'advancing Cascabel'. If it was more than meaningless guff, they'd have put some flesh on the bones to arrest the SP decline.
Orthern- I did warn you that fort would get upset if you dared to point out the flaws in his ramping. He didn't disappoint!
Ah, sorry dbw. Took your post before to be things you thought were happening. More of a wishlist? That's all good.
Where do you see the new discoveries coming from, dbw? Is there a particular concession that we're drilling that you like the geology of?
Also, what definition of competitive tension are you using when you saw that solg are building competitive tension? Since that term was introduced on this board I think a lot of posters have misunderstood it's meaning.
Orthern, careful. Fort gets angry and upset when someone points out the huge flaws in his endless rampy BS. Prepare for a meaningless essay of irrelevant non-examples and further unsubstantiated nonsense.... Best not to trigger the tool.
Can't believe we're having to tell you this again, Fort, but here goes:
"If SOLG leave it too late, they will be heading into a very dark and tricky corner with options becoming more limited as time ticks by and cash pile falling with equity raises likely."
Solg won't be the ones leaving it too late. Because (say it with me, people, you know the words by now) SOLG don't control when we sell!
As for kat's comments about majors not waiting... Please. Majors are not bounced into expensive M&As because small caps really, really, pretty please, desperately want a sale. They'll not rush.
The bigger picture has changed, Fort. Since we've removed any pretense of mining Cascabel, switched leadership, retained Maxit and have merged with Cornerstone, our sp has dropped. That is the market's way of telling you there's no credible plan in place for the medium term, and no prospect of an immediate sale. But I agree that the SP doesn't really matter- these things move at a glacial pace. In the next couple of years we'll have something more concrete in place.
Add, you've nailed the dilusion experienced by so many on this message board. Repeat after me until you understand:
Mr Caldwell doesn't sell the company. Someone buys it. The buyer is the missing part here. Will be for some time. That's why it didn't sell last year, or the year before, or in Jan or Feb or March of this year.
The new team have blown whatever fragile pretense we had of being a viable company, and painted us as the a one-trick pony who have the keys to Cascabel. Trouble is, those companies with deep enough pockets to buy us know that the key we hold is time-limited. The longer we go on unsold, the more desperate we become. It's a terrible strategy from a reckless banker who we've only discussed the 'successes' (some marginal!) here. Suggest you read around Maxit a bit more. Those who said Maxit retention was good for us must now see they were duped. Bob is no magician.
Wait a year or two and there will probably be a takeover. Hopefully some competitive tension at the time means we still get a payday. Nothing happening any time soon though, as the market is clearly indicating to you with multi year lows. Relax, never invest more than you can afford to lose in a small cap, and come back in a year or two.
Do we have an offer coming soon, Fort? Haven't heard anything about one.
WI says it is some way off, and the company have done some medium term planning; have you changed your mind, or do you still think I'm wrong about it not happening this year?
Do the people who always quote Warren I as some kind of Solg oracle agree or disagree with him that any takeover will take a long time, and be a way off yet?
Because lots on here were quoting his 'stage 2.9, step 3" tweets as a reason to expect an imminent bid, and now he has said that, whilst we are trying to sell, it is unlikely to happen soon.
Any adjustment in the position of the 'this will be sold soon' posters on here? Or do we just ignore him now?
Companies don't typically release an RNS when they update their website, Bog!!
"Solgold (herein: "the company") the company are pleased to announce that they have got Tim in IT to upload the shareholders list and rejig the bit of the website about staffing. He's also had a good crack at getting the latest presentations online but one of the PowerPoints is corrupted so he'll have to do that from the office on Tuesday. In further developments, Greg thinks he's found a cheaper paper supplier and Hannah's booked a week off in the summer."
Denial of realistic comment that isn't 100% on message... Tick
Conveniently unsubstantiated claim about Maxit.... Tick
Attempt to induce FOMO... Tick
Claim not to be ramping... Tick
I dunno, red. Does sound a tiny bit like a ramp...
Smick, I'm not sure anyone is suggesting that they would do that at the ground. Have you tried looking at the Twitter comments surrounding clubs in trouble? Significant proportion of those less favourable comments about the leadership are from lifelong fans, who will remain fans no matter how many poor management choices they make. See any parallels?
Not sure whose posts you're reading Darren but on balance I'd say thinking there will be a TO is pretty positive, no? Saying we won't get one soon is realism, and understanding of the process, not negativity. Countering rampers is not negativity.
You don't follow football then, dbw? Cov isn't suggesting people stop supporting, they just don't blindly pretend things are fine or say they are great.
Darren- it isn't negative to say there won't be a takeover this year.
Add, if you think they are catalysts for an imminent merger then I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed by the wait. These are some of the same talking points the rampers have been relying on whilst posting nonsense. What you've listed are a series of signs that Solgold are keen for corporate action. Do you see the difference between those and the catalysts for a TO?
And
I'm in long. Sorry that my calling out blatant ramping is annoying. I can see that it might be, as there is opportunity to do so often! So long as fort, red, bubble et al. continue to post rampy nonsense, I'll provide the logical counter narrative that they so hate. Not for your benefit, you understand.
I have said before that I think there will be a TO or significant asset sale here, and it's one of the options that keeps me here. Claiming it is imminent is a clear sign that people don't understand the catalysts for corporate action. They draw laughable comparisons to Noront, or claim that having Maxit on board means we're just moments away. I assume they do so because they're either being paid, or they're so far underwater they've resorted to trying to move the SP with their words here!
Sure, add, you're probably right...
Ha! Add, you've inadvertently done Fort's homework for him, and answered your own call for evidence of misinformation. A month ago I challenged him to explain how BRs inter-fund moves were keeping the SP down (he was using this deliberate misinformation to explain the low sp and fit his rampy narrative). Unsurprisingly, because he's not very bright, he couldn't even find an answer on Google so just ignored both times I asked. Classic ramper behavior, once they've peddled misinformation.
Thanks on both counts. Nice to be vindicated. Hopefully now you accept that deliberate misinformation has been shared on this board. If you take the time to read back, you'll find countless other examples from this ramper and others.
