Hearing that I've hurt a lot of feelings here. I'm genuinely sorry that solg hasn't been subject to a TO, but all I've ever said is they it won't be before next AGM, because I'm a realist who understands corporate action. So the vitriol and anger one reads here is just rampy thickos annoyed that I'm being proven correct, and will continue to be, unfortunately. Can only imagine it will get worse as each month is ticked off. We're into April now: most of these posters thought I was wrong in December.
Desperately sad, but then these people are both desperate and sad. Hey-ho. Let's see if they discover any humility in June, August or November...
Arriving as if to prove my point dbw. Good of you pal, thanks
I've been very clear that if I'm wrong, monte, I'll be the first to apologize. I am not expecting the same from the brainless ramper crowd on the date of this year's Dec AGM... They just don't have the capacity to climb down, as each passing year of being wrong has shown.
Aww, dbw, your position here in the echo chamber is secure! Don't you worry, poppet! Kind of you to rub fort's back when the mean and nasty realist points out that there isn't a buyer yet. It's adorable! Have a lovely evening x
You'll be fine, fort. The old 'lack-of-buyer' issue will afford you plenty of time to get your ducks in a row. No rush! You might well get to use your allowance from the year after, too, but no promises there.
Come on bubble, we know you spread your foolishness throughout the year. Just spin the wheel and give us one of your four rampy 'catchphrases', same as it ever was.
A new month, still no TO. This would pain the rampers if they had any shame/brain...
"The City rumour mill reckons a takeover of the South American miner could emerge later this year – though this is the same mill that said it would happen in 2021 and 2022."
Is this a city rumour mill, or is it just Red constantly incorrectly spouting on about an imminent sale for the last few years?
You don't sound relaxed, add. You sound a bit tetchy. And my explanation of different probabilities should have been enough for you to realise I work on the balance of probability, rather than absolutes. But you feel free to parrot me if you can't think of anything original...
I'd argue length of holding doesn't really matter. Entry and exit points matter, and reading the signs to nail the timings matter. I guess that's why I'm 'sure of myself', as you put it. You do you, but I wouldn't mind a little humility from you in Jan '24.
Even that isn't a certainty, is it, add? Try not to get caught up in absolutes- there are continuums of probability for every outcome. Is it more likely that we'll experience a TO than go to production? Sure. Is it more likely that we'll be diluted to oblivion or mine this ourselves? Oblivion. Is Bob going to find a buyer in 2023? Less likely than 2024. Will I be apologetic if I'm wrong? 100%, but I'm confident enough in the signs to know that probably won't be necessary.
As I say- don't be swayed by the rampers into binary thinking. They've talked about an imminent bid since BHP first took a stake. They've embarrassed themselves countless times, and continue to do so with each condescending dismissal and each passing month.
Just relax. If you need a quicker return, go elsewhere. If you're comfortable, stick around. All good.
Just not underwater, and not in a rush. I think that's why I'm able to see that this won't be sorted any time soon. Not blinded by the need for an immediate sale like some here.
Slug, don't be thick. No investor dreams of dilution. Just a realist. You'll get it eventually.
As I say: won't stop people dreaming.
... that are certain of an imminent sale appoint permanent CFOs?
Price is moving up nicely as it was probably oversold. Not a huge fan of churn at this level as low average newcomers make a climb higher harder, but at least volume isn't massive.
No imminent sale then, by the looks of it, but that won't stop people dreaming of one.... Enjoy the rise, and hope to repair some of the damage to the sp that the current band have caused.
BHP have an Ecuadorian exploration office. They fully get the need to open up new jurisdictions. The rampers (hi, fort!) want us to believe that means an imminent TO for solg, or fuel for a bidding war. The realists believe BHP will use some of the time they have (that's what huge cash and regular divs to your funds buys you) to explore. If the geology isn't fruitful, and we've somehow happened upon the only big discovery, they'll be more interested. More likely they'll find something within their timeline - after all, fort says we alone could have 5-6 more tier 1s....
Yawn. Blame the 'wokes'. Bless, it's the same every week.
Still not got a month for me, no? No surprise there. Imagine you'll be gone by morning, so won't waste any more time here.
Are you ranting about building mines because you're still angry that you haven't changed quady's mind? And that 15 aliases in, he's still here and you can't help but get banned every time you have a shandy?!
Solg won't build a mine. But thanks to the recklessness of Bob et al, we also won't get anything like fair value. And we'll have to wait until time and patient majors have brought us to our knees. But, hopefully, we'll still have a promising enough set of concessions by next year or the year after to drum up counter bids. Otherwise this investment, and the petty trolls on here, truly have been a waste of time.
Again, don't worry about my realism here bringing down the share price. Unlike some simpletons here, I know nothing I write in this board will move the SP or change market sentiment. So there is no need to panic-type a rebuttal if you don't agree. Just be calm.
Slug, don't be as slow as fort. You know that we don't set the timeline for TO. We've made it obvious we have few other options.
Btw, I know you won't put a month on it. Because like the others, deep down you know I'm probably right, it just doesn't fit your narrative to let readers know we might have to wait. Plus, if you give a month, you have a deadline after which you're wrong.
Do you disagree with me, pad? Do you think there will be a sale before the AGM this year? Be brave, chap- put a month on it: When will a TO be completed this year? Because if you don't 100% believe it will be this year, you've no right to call me names. That's been my only issue with the rampers.
If it's any consolation, Red, we're pretty tired of your relentless, stupid ramping. Could solve both problems by going away for a bit, hey chap? Or does your ramping contract require a certain amount of BS to be posted per week? Can only conclude that's your motive.
