Why would mm want a static share price. Surely volatility increases their trade. If it’s manipulated it must be someone with enough shares to dampen any excitement so to manage their own agenda

The share price just powered back up to 0%. That’s my excitement over for the day.

Well they have done a good job of keeping it water tight so far, assuming the bids value the company higher than we are now!!

Thank you for taking the time to post your responses. Very knowledgeable. I’m more confident now there is less link between the bids and the share price, in fact the share price is just random walk. Just curious, has there been any occasions in the past when a firm has taken over another at a gigantic premium on the previous closing days share price, i.e. well in excess of 300%?

Well 60m is 2% based on 2.7bn shares.
I am being defensive of the share price, and I am intrigued as to why there wasn’t more transparency, as it could have led to a higher share price. You might say, the share price is irrelevant, in which case why waste the listing fees?

Pardon my lack of knowledge as I am a relative newbie, with 183k investment. Question being, why is this all being played out in private? It doesn’t encourage institutional investment and if they do need to raise money pre takeover it becomes much more dilutive. It’s like we are in suspension effectively as there is only a small pot of PI trading.

You should report the gain otherwise you leave yourself open to a large penalty if they make a ‘discovery’. From practical experience the number of tax inquiries I deal with are dropping year on year. HMRC don’t have the man power.
