It seems to me that the shorters are keeping a lid on the price until their 'friends' put an offer in. Lets face it who in their right minds would short this at the current price... The risk for the shorters is very high considering an offer which would most probably be at least double the current price could come in at any time.

It is quite incredible how the share price has dropped about 15% in the last few days on such little volume. The shorters are certainly playing around with this. Lets hope they get a taste of their own medicine...

With sterling being depressed I can see more takeovers as the uk market has not increased comparably with the US because of Brexit fears etc. I am happy to sit it out here because its just a matter of time before a move is made imho...

It is often the case that financial directors take orders from above. It seems to me that they want to paint the worse possible picture so LMI shareholders vote for the SBGL takeover. I would have thought that if things were so bad for LMI at the moment they would have sold their investment in furuya. They haven't have they?

The bp is higher, costs are under control and new financing has been arranged. If LMI was not tied into being taken over by SBGL the LMI share price would be far higher. If PGM's continue to rise LMI will be profitable so all this talk of business protection is absurd.
One minute you state that LMI is awash with cash and should use it for the community etc and now back to business protection.
In all seriousness I doubt that anybodies vanity is worth spending the amount of time trashing LMI as you do. You clearly have a motive...

There have been a lot of positives recently regarding LMI; Increase of value of investments, higher bp and a decent safety record (apart from sadly one casualty) among others. The share price should be a lot higher than 70 inmho.
