I think Dave the horse suggested that Lucara would be a good fit for Gem to merge with. I think the BOD have been very slow with regards to making positive changes. I wonder what they discuss at meetings? It's amazing that they are still in their jobs considering the massive shareholder destruction. The nav is above 100 yet the share price is languishing at 13p.

Hopefully they will announce a share buyback as surely they must realise there will be no better time to pick them up at the current crazy price. They could pick up 5% for just one large diamond. It would be in the shareholders best interest to increase eps and send a clear message to shorting hedge funds.

It would be great to hear some news on the gold front but I have resigned myself to the fact that I doubt we will get an update this year. Still lots to look forward to though. I wouldn't want to be out of this over the weekend especially as it's a bank holiday on Monday. : )

It's probably buying whilst its cheap as once news is out we should see a rise. The news could be about a construction update, license transfer or the long awaited resource update. Or knowing Bernard he could put the lot out in one go.

Who said anything about lorries. The vehicle I saw leaving the port was towing a horse box. The registration number was DE11 BOY. : )

I think it's a great improvement. Carats recovered was up 10% with the grade increasing to 2.2, the carats and value increasing by 9%. This should start to recover once the news is digested.

I just wish they resumed a share buyback as they could pick up 10% of the company for less than £2m.

At last and just in time before production. It will give potential and current investors a better insight to the company. I have noticed though with regards to future projects just Neille and Fatou are mentioned. I assume this is because they are next inline for drilling. I really do hope though that as soon as Bougouni is up and running they commence drilling and prove up some decent reserves at these two promising projects. Keep it up Bernard...

Great to see another great diamond. Surely they must have some spare cash to make some share buybacks whilst the share price is so low. Come on Clifford you know it makes sense.

Hainan own 17% of Kodal minerals so shareholders do have a say if an offer is put forward. If this is delayed it could work in Kod's favour as the only way of securing ownership is to purchase the other 83% of Kod they don't own. There is no way that a buyout at 0.75 will be accepted. I can't see less than 1.2p being recommended and even this could be low depending on the next resource update.

Not long to go now, Kod is on schedule and budget. No doubt in the next few weeks we will get some more photo's of the progress so we will be coming up to exciting times.

Laverda, Good point. I suppose it's a good thing to err on the side of caution and as you rightly point out we wouldn't want to go cap in hand to Hainan.

I'm sure the guys in Mali have everything under control. Surely Bernard has some time to dedicate towards the gold projects. I was under the impression that the funds raised via the share placement were going to be used for the gold projects and as far as I'm aware nothing has really been spent for this purpose. If it is a case of not having the man power perhaps they should employ someone to get the ball rolling.

I'm coming from the point of view that at the moment KOD is purely seen as a one trick pony but it isn't. We know this but the market clearly doesn't given the current valuation. If Kod had some good drilling results on the gold prospects then perhaps we would get interest from other parties willing to invest, buy or partner.

Let's hope the next RNS will be about one of the gold projects with gold at an all time high. Bernard and his team have done a great job with getting Bougouni into near term production but some news on the gold front would be much appreciated.

The forecast is probably SP Angel. Canaccord revised their target to 1.85 from 1.65 after the last resource update which was circa 30mt. They will most probably increase that with the next update if we have a resource close to 50mt. Let's not forget the gold projects too. I'm with Elcobbledore with 2.5p plus.

Once the mine is completed, up and running and the cheques come in then we should get to a proper valuation. It's not too far off. In the meantime watch a bit of Wimbledon, watch England get into the Euro finals and then we have the Olympics too and before you know it Kod will be a miner and Bernard will have a big smile on his face.

Kod did point out in the presentation that the mine stripping would commence in July. We are at the beginning of the month so it suggests everything is on schedule. The next big news apart from the resource update is the arrival of the DMS/ crusher and then the construction of that in September. I think the next few months will fly by especially with all the sport on and before you know it Kod will transform from and explorer to a miner. Well done to Bernard and the team.

If all goes to plan and the resource is proved to be 50mt or over then a 30% increase will seem meagre to say the least. I would expect the share price to reach new highs especially considering we are months away from production not years.

The problem is that diamond prices will stay relatively low considering lab grown diamonds have increased supply however these large stones are where Gem make money. As long as they can keep digging up stones like they have in 2024 they will do well. I really think its time though for some buy backs at these low levels.

I would say it's been kept down for a cheap takeover, even Clifford must be tempted for a MBO.

The share price should be in the 20's by now. It was approved in the last AGM for the company to buy back its own shares, surely with 8 great finds this year its time for the company to commence the buy back.

Yes George I agree although in time I suspect it could well exceed 60mt.

If the shipping conditions are fine surely the first ship will be coming into dock next week. Anyway the next few months are going to be super busy at Bougouni. I think once we get images of the plant being erected it will give more credence to Kodal and investors wont just see it as a project but the making of a new mine. Perhaps then they will do the maths and realise how undervalued Kod is. The countdown is on.

It won't be a 10% paradise for traders which are out to wake up to an RNS stating the BOD have recommended a takeover for x amount. The true value of KOD is rising by the day so what is the point in trading this when the spread is so large.

The resource will no doubt exceed the touted 50mt potential and let's not forget the portfolio of gold assets. When we have some firm confirmation I would be surprised to see broker targets less than 2p.

They are not hanging around and it's reassuring to see production on track for Q4.
