I think they were rejected because MM had plans to take it back for himself. Am I the only person on here who thinks it's strange that MA turns up and the share price more than halves? I feel they have a self serving agenda. Since those bids Ingenuity has been hived off with cash and virtually all of the non core businesses from recycling plants to newspapers. More shares have been issued and a CLN at 32p. I have averaged down and will continue to do so but I really can't see us getting 170 anytime soon. If we got 120 that would be a result but the starting offer would be circa 75p but obviously I hope I'm wrong and it's a lot higher.

Many Pi's have averaged down but why haven't the larger funds? If they had we wouldn't be in the 20's.

they would be obliged to offer over 30%. they could easily come up with bs as to why 70-80p is reasonable just like the cln at 32p. personally i think it's a disgrace to turn down an offer of potentially 170 and a few years later do a cln for 32p. it looks as though mm wants thg back and perhaps he has found a preferred party in ma as opposed to the city. maybe we will get another rendition of that ****e oasis song again with this time joined by ma banging along with a tambourine.

MA and MM probably had plans 6 months ago. They probably are happy the share price is where it is as they will be able to buy more shares as a deep discount to sotp. MA was not the only buyer this week. I wouldn't be surprised if even Ingenuity picked up a stake with there last placing proceeds.

It would be great to see Anders buy here.

Ask yourself how could the BOD allow MM the CLN convertible at 32p then.

Going on the short tracker is not that reliable as only positions over 0.5% are accountable. I reckon the true short position is >15%. They have to close at some point but I'm sure both MM and MA are happy for them to keep the price down in order for them to pick up more shares on the cheap. They have already done MM a huge favour wit regards to the CLN.

The Chairman and the rest of the BOD need to hold MM to account.

I would have thought MA has a good stake in Ingenuity and I wouldn't be surprised if he got another 12.5% in the last raise, probably as part of a deal between Frasers and Ingenuity.

I reckon MM and MA have a plan to take this out. It's been kitchen sinked, they will buy as much as possible at low prices up to 30% each and then offer between 70-80p for the remaining 40%.

It would get interesting if Anders Holch Povlsen decided to buy a stake and upset the apple cart.

Like I suspected the shorts were increasing, some funds selling but nobody questions the volumes bought on Monday and Tuesday. There was obviously a buyer, I wonder who?

It shows that the hedge funds were hell bent on THG being demoted but selling more only means eventually they will have to buy back more.

I'm thinking on the same lines as you Anacott. The hedge funds were probably expecting the trackers to sell in which they could buy back. I would say that the short positions have increased in the last few days. Even if we see a reduction of the holders above 0.5% there will be others under the radar increasing up to 0.49%. Hedge funds work in packs but they lost yesterday. I just wonder who the buyer was. All will become apparent soon enough.

I would imagine though that the short position is higher than 9%.

The games aren't just here Money mad but look at ASOS and BOO. All three strangely enough have a shareholder in common.

Yes, I agree as the fines are paltry. To think that those drug smugglers in Indonesia are facing the death penalty for trafficking a bit of coke worth a few hundred thousand pounds and the amount of financial manipulation of billions goes on and nothing happens. Ironically a lot of coke goes to the city.

They need some long prison sentences instead of fining. The FCA should be binned and a new body should be set up with new rules and regulations to go after these groups.

Yes I agree, the FCA should be contacted. The trading action on here is verging on criminal.

There has been a tug of war with the hedge funds trying their hardest for THG to be removed from the 250 and a buyer. Perhaps the hedge funds thought this would be an easy way out with tracker funds selling 60m or so shares which they could then buy and close their positions in the low 20's. What intrigues me is who has been buying them the directors can't as they are in a closed period although Ingenuity raised some more money recently and I suppose there is nothing to stop them buying.

You never know but a bear trap could have been set. Let's hope so.

For all we know they could be in discussions now. I wonder what the trade was all about yesterday, I think all this talk about the 250 is smoke and mirrors. I would say there is more behind it, let's face it the hedge funds have a lot to buy back and you wouldn't want to be sitting on a large short position if a bid came in at multiples of todays price. Something is going on and hopefully it will be good for shareholders for a change.

Or you could wait out for a turnaround or a bid of 70p plus which could come at anytime. If things really pick up there is no reason why it couldn't go over 100. Patience is needed.

The FCA are not fit for purpose and certainly don't protect investors and don't hold companies accountable. I don't think that we are far away from legal firms taking class actions on behalf of shareholders against the likes of hedge funds and the FCA.

It's been more than an uncomfortable time for shareholders but as for MM he probably doesn't care, however for his pride it can't be great to see the share price at these levels but on the flip side he has managed the CLN at 32p and in a few months time he might be laughing all the way to the bank.

Don't you think the buying could be the hedge funds closing as even they must be thinking this can't go much lower (famous last words).

If a bid were to emerge surely it would have to be over 70p. We know the directors weren't buying before the closed period and there has been no buying from the institutions and the likes of MA and even Kelso are quiet. I think there is more chance that something is going on behind the scenes than not. Even Ingenuity issuing more shares literally a few months after splitting is rather odd. There is no way they have gone through all the cash raised so I assume it was a sweetener and lets face it anybody buying THG will want a part of Ingenuity if not all of it.

MM probably thinks he will be taking this away but I still believe a 3rd party will come in and rock the boat and I have a feeling MM knows this hence the CLN.

I can't see this remaining on the market for long with the manipulated share price. Who will be the first to pounce?

If the likes of Selkirk can see the potential then others will. The first defensive move by MM was the Ingenuity split, the second was to issue the CLN. I would have thought that his backers will be getting impatient and will have reluctance to support him if things don't change. He knows he's on borrowed time and the hunters are coming.
