Trainline Hires Photobox Head Jody Ford To Be Chief Operating Officer

Tue, 21st Jul 2020 11:41

(Alliance News) - Trainline PLC on Tuesday named the current chief executive of Photobox Group, Jody Ford, as chief operating officer, a new role at Trainline, effective September 21.

The decision comes as the train and bus ticket booking app hopes to broaden its leadership team.

Ford will drive Trainline's growth strategy and performance, with responsibility for commercial, marketing, product and tech functions. He spent 10 years leading the global growth function at eBay Inc prior to joining Photobox, an online photo printing and gift personalisation company.

Trainline Chief Executive Clare Gilmarin said: "I am delighted to welcome Jody to Trainline and look forward to him helping us deliver our long-term growth plan. We are proud to attract such talent to our senior management team which continues to be focused on championing more environmentally sustainable travel choices."

Trainline shares were up 7.7% at 430.00 pence each on Tuesday morning in London.
