Strix 2019 Trading In Line; Progresses On Chinese Factory Project

LONDON (Alliance News) - The chair of kettle parts and water filter maker Strix Group PLC said Thursday 2019 trading was in line with expectations, and it expects construction of a new factory in China to start shortly.

Speaking at the annual general meeting of the firm, Chair Gary Lamb explained that the firm "continues to trade in line with market expectations" for 2019.

Lamb also added that Strix had signed a land purchase agreement with the government of the Zengcheng district of the Chinese city of Guangzhou. Following the agreement, Strix expects to start construction of its new factory in China at the end of the third quarter of 2019 as originally scheduled.

Shares in Strix were 1.5% higher at 162.96 pence on Thursday.
