SMALL-CAP WINNERS & LOSERS: Nostrum rises on debt for equity swap deal

(Alliance News) - The following stocks are the leading risers and fallers among London Main Market small-caps on Friday.

Nostrum Oil & Gas PLC, up 8.3% at 6.50 pence, 12-month range 2.82p-15.50p. The exploration and production company late Thursday said it secured an agreement with an ad hoc noteholder group with the aim of reducing its indebtedness and lowering the group's costs. Nostrum will partially reinstate the notes as a new set of USD250.0 million senior-secured notes and USD300.0 million senior-unsecured notes, both due June 2026, with the conversion of the remainder of the notes into equity. Nostrum will hold a general meeting to push through the restructuring, but has stressed it will go ahead with the plans even if shareholders vote against the move.

Argo Blockchain PLC, up 3.6% at 100.44p, 12-month range 17.51p-339.81p. Shares in he cryptocurrency miner are higher as bitcoin hit its highest level since early December. Bitcoin is priced at USD51,259.30 Friday morning, up from USD48,955.30 at the same time on Thursday.
