IN BRIEF: EQTEC to work with CompactGTL on waste-to-fuel projects

Thu, 07th Jul 2022 19:29

EQTEC PLC - Cork, Ireland-based gasification company focused on turning waste into sustainable energy - Signs collaboration framework agreement with modular, gas-to-liquids company CompactGTL, under which both companies will work on the design, development, construction and operations on waste-to-fuel projects and other infrastructure projects.

EQTEC will provide project development, syngas technology services and engineering services, while CompactFTL will provide access to development sites, funders and infrastructure investors.

The agreement is valid for an initial two-year period.

"EQTEC's ability to design, model, deploy and commission its proprietary and patented process technology to produce highly efficient, versatile and clean syngas from a wide range of waste types makes us uniquely fit for a range of offtake applications, including liquid fuels. To date, we have targeted our efforts on projects for clean power, thermal energy, hydrogen and synthetic natural gas. I am especially happy now to add liquid fuels to that list, as market interest grows for sustainable aviation and ground fleet fuels," said Chief Executive Officer David Palumbo.
